The FNM closest to my location that I am considering attending for T2 has a strange policy. I you bring a deck that is 80% the same or more as any net deck easily accessible through this site or Google, your deck is not permitted in the tournament (the event is sanctioned). i am almost positive that this is not an allowed way of running a tournament, but i don't know what action to take. I'm really just getting back into T2, and this is the only store within an hour with a player base. ATM, I am not going to be fielding what I'd call a net deck, but if one day i want to build Jund (I'm almost positive, even if I did, it'd be my own build, but I'm almost positive it'd be within 80%of someone else's list) or something, what course of action should I take, and also, would the store be allowed to refuse my entry to the tournament based on my decks "net deck" status, and my refusal to comply to store policy?
This is not allowed within the Magic Tournament Rules or any other document. I would get solid proof of this (more than just your word against theirs) and report it to the DCI or WotC. -Jack
Millionaires, I hear it's good Music (Disclaimer: lyrics not PG-13) Thanks, CC
Talk to the Tournament Organizer first, and if he or she won't allow you to enter your deck in a tournament, report him or her.
