If i clone or rite of replication a wind zendikon ? we had some discussion about it at the release this weekend and wanna be sure. Being the organizer i ruled that it made 5 2/2 blue elementals tokens that are still lands. I feel i am correct and wanna double check
the copyable attributes of any permanent are those printed on the card, not those set by other continuous effects. a kicked RoR would produce 5 of whatever land the zendikon was animating. clone would also just be a copy of whatever land was animated, without a power or toughness. The fact that the zendikon made it a creature only makes it a legal target for clone or RoR, but the resulting copies are just lands.
EDIT:
Quote from CompRules »
706.2. When copying an object, the copy acquires the copiable values of the original object’s characteristics and, for an object on the stack, choices made when casting or activating it (mode, targets, the value of X, whether it was kicked, how it will affect multiple targets, and so on). The “copiable values” are the values derived from the text printed on the object (that text being name, mana cost, card type, subtype, supertype, expansion symbol, rules text, power, toughness, and/or loyalty), as modified by other copy effects, by “as . . . enters the battlefield” and “as . . . is turned face up” abilities that set characteristics, and by abilities that caused the object to be face down. Other effects (including type-changing and text-changing effects), status, and counters are not copied.

Check out my ALTERS!
indeed, but if you have the mana to kick your RoR, you should be pretty set on lands...
