Heat Shimmer - Put a token into play that's a copy of target creature. It has haste and "At end of turn, remove this permanent from the game
Broodmate Dragon - Flying
When Broodmate Dragon comes into play, put a 4/4 red Dragon creature token with flying into play.
If I use heat shimmer targeting Broodmate Dragon (the card not the token) will that mean I get a 4/4 red dragon token with flying into play that will stay in play beyond EOT? Same result as if i had played it from my hand?

Yes. The copy of Broodmate Dragon looks, feels, and smells just like the original Broodmate Dragon, so it has the same come-into-play ability. That ability triggers when the copy comes into play. When the ability resolves, it'll create a token that has no reason to be removed from the game at the end of the turn.

Yes, it is making a copy of Broodmate Dragon and the dragon says "When it comes into play" so you would end up getting the 4/4 token and the Broodmate token would get removed.

EDIT: Wow, these guys are quick.
I was kind of confused as to whether i was copying just the creature or the card. That clears things up quite nicely.
Thanks guys!
