When a saga creature like Architect of Restoration dies, what happens when you have either Hofri or VC on battlefield?
Hofri - I presume you get a copy of Architect as creature.
VC - You get The Restoration of Eiganjo back, gets a counter and becomes an angel, but not a creature?
With Hofri, you will get The Restoration of Eiganjo token. It will be a spirit, if you somehow animate it without something overwriting the creature type, and should it leave the battlefield, the original card will be put back into your graveyard. When the third chapter is reached, the token will get exiled and stay there (the exiled original goes to the graveyard) until state based actions clear it away (because tokens cannot leave any new zone they go to once they leave the battlefield).
With Valkyrie's Call, you get The Restoration of Eiganjo permanent back with a +1/+1 counter. Should you somehow animate it without overwriting the creature type, it will be an Angel, and it has flying regardless (it also flies as just the Saga, but that doesn't do it much good, likewise with the +1/+1 counter). When the third chapter is reached, you get the normal Architect of Restoration without the +1/+1 counter, without flying, and it not being an Angel. Because it exiles and returns, which makes it a new object, and therefore not subject to those effects.
Hofri does not give a copy of the card in exile, he gives a copy of the creature that died. In the case of the question, it will be a double-face token that is back up, so an architect of restoration (with the saga on the other face if you ever get to transform that token), that is a spirit.
The case of valkyrie's call is as described in the previous post.
Tokens can be double-face since they introduced the incubate token like sunfall. At that point, the rules changed to allow a token created as a copy of a double-face permanent to also be double-face.

Can token be double-sided too?
