So I have Storm of Forms in my hand, and quite a few counters on my permanents, so I have plenty of copies to use. Player 2 has Wrexial, the Risen Deep equipped with Lightning Greaves. Is there a way to use one copy on the greaves and then another on Wrexial. Or do I have to pick the targets all at once, and therefore Wrexial would be an illegal target?
Also, not that I would, but to understand the rule fully. Player 3 has a Banishing Light exiling Player 2's Stormtide Leviathan. If for some reason I wanted to, is there an opportunity to bounce Banishing Light, then the Stormtide returns, and then I could bounce it or no? I guess it's kinda the same question, do I target all at once, or as each copy comes onto the stack?
You choose the targets for the copies as the Storm of Forms cast trigger resolves, so if it isn't a valid target at that point, no copy can target it. In the first example, Wrexial still has Shroud at that point, and in the second example the Leviathan is still in exile, neither is valid.
There is a small window to respond to the cast trigger of Storm of Forms with something like a Disenchant to the Greaves/Banish, which could allow the copies to target something that the original Storm couldn't, but all of the copies should always have the same pool of targets to choose from.
