I need some explanation regarding the interaction between Humility and other cards.
Humility + Urza, Lord High Artificer When Urza, Lord High Artificer enters the battlefield, create a 0/0 colorless Construct artifact creature token with “This creature gets +1/+1 for each artifact you control.”
This golem still becomes a 1/1 with no abilities, correct? Its P/T dynamically defining ability should be applied on a later layer, but the ability is removed before, right?
Humility + Shark Typhoon Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, create an X/X blue Shark creature token with flying, where X is that spell’s mana value.
In this case the token is always 1/1, because its P/T are not dynamically defined and therefore replaced by Humility, right? But, what happens when Humility is removed? Do they go back to being X/X or do they stay 1/1?
For Urza, the token's ability will be removed "before" its effect giving "+1/+1 for each artifact you control" starts working (C.R. 613.1, 613.1f-g). Thus, the token will be 1/1 due to Humility.
For Shark Typhoon, the token will ordinarily be X/X, where X is the spell's mana value (C.R. 111.3, 613.1) and have no abilities other than flying. However, Humility removes the token's abilities and makes it 1/1 (C.R. 613.1, 613.1f-g). If Humility leaves the battlefield, the token will regain its usual abilities, power, and toughness. (If a continuous effect from a static ability is meant to continue even after the permanent leaves the battlefield, this will be specified explicitly [C.R. 101.1], as in Titania's Song.)
Also, compare Urza and Shark Typhoon with Daxos the Returned or Saproling Burst, where the tokens involved have characteristic-defining abilities that set their power and toughness. If Humility is on the battlefield, these abilities will be removed "before" their effects start working (this is the case for any abilities that solely have power/toughness-changing effects, including characteristic-defining abilities that solely set power and toughness [C.R. 613.4, 613.4a, 613.6]) (C.R. 613.1, 613.1f-g).
