Because karn's temporal sundering has a period before. It says to exile it could I use sundial of the infinite to end the turn before that part of the stack resolves and just send it to my graveyard and recur it later?

The Sundering's effects all occur during its resolution, a time when no player has priority. Since you have to have priority to activate a non-mana ability like the Sundial's, you cannot use it during the resolution of that spell. (And even the use of mana abilities is restricted during the resolution of a spell/ability to only when a mana payment is asked for.)
