Ok, so here is a situation.
I CD have Kitchen Finks (persist) and Spawning Pit (sacrifice) on the battlefield.
Opponent plays “out of time” which Phases all creatures out.
On the stack, I sacrifice kitchen finks to the spawning pit.
What happens? What resolves first? The phasing out or Kitchen finks coming back into play... therefore meaning that Kitchen finks would be phased out.

The triggered ability from persist goes on the stack above the Time trigger and resolves first. The Finks will return to the battlefield first, then, if it's still on the battlefield when the Time's trigger resolves, it will be phased out.

Scientists have calculated that the chance of anything so patently absurd actually existing are millions to one. But magicians have calculated that million-to-one chances crop up nine times out of ten.
