Using only whats on the battlefield, I want to populate the Ghired, conclave exile copies as mamy times as possible this turn. So does my turn end with 6 or 8 ghired, conclave exile tokens?
Yes. Haste is granted to every token created by the Helm's trigger.
First, when combat begins, you get one two copies of Ghired, both with haste. From this, you get 2x1 2x2 4/4 Rhino tokens. Then you attack with all three Ghireds, giving you 3 populate triggers. Each one lets you populate a Ghired token, doubled by PL/AP/DS, so you get 6 more Ghireds, and 6x2 more Rhinos. For a total of 9 Ghireds (one is the original) and 16 Rhino tokens.
If you create tokens with Helm of the Host, then create tokens that are copies of them with Ghired, the latter tokens won't have haste this way. This is because the effect on Helm of the Host granting haste is separate from the copy effect, and because populating doesn't necessarily create tokens that have haste (C.R. 709.2, 701.30a). Compare Helm of the Host with Heat Shimmer ("...except it has haste and 'At the beginning of the end step, exile this permanent'") and Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker ("...except it has haste" [C.R. 108.1]); if one token becomes a copy of another with Heat Shimmer or Kiki-Jiki, the first token will acquire the abilities stated in the corresponding text just cited, because in this case, those abilities are part of the second token's copiable values, which other effects can copy (C.R. 706.9, 706.9a, 706.2).
