Genju of the Realm says the enchanted land becomes a legendary spirit creature that counts as a land. But what is the land's name as a legend? Does it just keep its regular name (for example "Island" or "Hallowed Fountain" and gain the legendary type line? Does this have any ramifications for other lands that share the same name?
Genju of the Realm's activated ability won't change the name of the enchanted land, since the ability doesn't say it does (compare Genju of the Realm with Awakening of Vitu-Ghazi). Thus, for example, a land named Plains will still be named Plains. This can matter if you happen to control another legendary permanent with the same name as the enchanted land. Thus, for example—
the legend rule won't kick in if you control more than one permanent with a given name but only one of them is legendary (C.R. 704.5j), but
the legend rule will kick in if you control more than one permanent with a given name and, as a result of that ability, two or more of them are legendary, and when this happens, all but one (of your choice) of those legendary permanents will go to the graveyard as a state-based action (C.R. 704.5j).
