If a creature would die when both Void Maw and Rest In Peace are on the battlefield under the same controller, do they decide how the card is exiled? If there is a choice of exiling to be made, what happens when these cards are controlled by two different players?
In either case, the controller of the dying creature decides which replacement effect to apply.
