Just checking this is right, on my turn Gideon Blackblade enters as a creature (due to his static ability) when loyalty counters are put on him. This means Winding Constrictor sees Gideon as a creature and the replacement effect would put 5 instead of 4 counters?
Same thing with using Gideon's +1 ability on your turn, right?

For the purposes of Winding Constrictor's first ability, Gideon would enter the battlefield with loyalty counters as a creature in this scenario, so thanks to Winding Constrictor, he will enter the battlefield with one more loyalty counter on him than otherwise (that ability's replacement effect "tak[es] into account ... continuous effects from [Gideon's] own static abilities", such as Gideon's first ability, "that would apply to [Gideon] once [he's] on the battlefield") (C.R. 122.6, 614.12, 604.1, 306.5b).

If you control Gideon and Winding Constrictor while it's your turn, you put one more loyalty counter on Gideon as you pay for his "+1" loyalty ability. (Unlike Doubling Season, Winding Constrictor's first ability applies to anything that would put counters on "an artifact or creature you control", not just effects. See also this thread.)
