I am very familiar with this card, but today, while on a casual play, I ran into an issue I believe I was right and he was wrong kind of thing. As we playing, he ended up with this on one of this creatures, and I know the mechanics of Sword of the Animist, but after a couple turns, he did something I was caught off guard with.
What he did was stated he was attacking with all three of his creatures and at the same time proceeded to tap six mana to bounce the card from one to the other and declared that since all three was attacking and it came onto the stack, he could search his library for three lands instead of one.
I of course said he couldn't do that because the card wasn't attached to the other two before he declared his attack. And as the good person I was, Id just let him have it. (he lost the game anyways lol)
All creatures are declared as attackers at the same time. No one gets priority during this process so no one can perform any actions during this process (beyond tapping for mana for things like Ghostly Prison).
And, Equip abilities can only be played during the player's main phase when the stack is empty and they have priority. Beginning of Combat or Declare Attackers is not the Main Phase. There isn't a way to move the equipment around during the Declare Attackers step so there isn't a way to do it *while* the creatures are declared as attackers.

Thank you for the quick reply and bigger explanation of how he was wrong. Thanks.

So was he right or was I?
