This question refers to any effect that adds temporary keyword to a creature. If Volrath copies a creature who was affected by Tainted Strike, will he also gain Infect? And how long will it last?
Volrath only copies the “copiable values” (see 706.2 in the Comprehensive Rules) of a creature that it copies. This doesn’t include abilities given to the creature by a one-shot effect.
So, if Volrath becomes a copy of a creature that had Tainted Strike used on it earlier in the turn, it will not have infect.

Thank you. I presume neither does Volrath copies aura/equipment effect either?
Copy effects can be summarized as this: gently pick up the chosen card, slip it into a Xerox machine, then press COPY button.
All you get is the original card; no subsequent effects are copied… except if that card already copied something else!
if volrath copies a legend i control, will he still be volrath or would i have to sacrifice one ?
In general, if Volrath's second ability makes Volrath a copy of a legendary permanent, and as a result you control two legendary permanents with the same name, all but one of them (of your choice) go to the graveyard as a state-based action (this is not the same as sacrificing them, however) (C.R. 117.3b, 117.5, 704.5j; review C.R. 701.16a). See also this thread and this thread.
Note that the effect of Volrath's second ability copies all copiable values on the targeted creature, including name, "except [Volrath is] 7/5 and it has" that ability (C.R. 706.2, 706.9a, 706.9c).
