Hi, for example I have 5 creatures in play including oviya pashiri, sage lifecrafter. Pay 4G to make a construct token which is a 5/5. Would this 5/5 construct become smalller if one of my creatures die? Or is the construct permanently 5/5 no matter how my creatures in play increase or decrease?
The value used for X is determined once: when the ability resolves. It will remain a 5/5 even if you lose (or gain) creatures. Notably, creating the token will not affect itself. That is, if you have 5 creatures, it will be a 5/5 even though the token itself now means you have 6 creatures.
Compare Oviya Pashiri's last ability with Ajani Goldmane's or Daxos the Returned's last abilities, which both create a token with a characteristic-defining ability that tracks changes to "your life total" or "the number of experience counters you have", respectively (C.R. 613.1g, 613.3a, 613.4, 611.3b, 604.3).
The value of X is determined only as Oviya Pashiri’s last ability resolves. The token’s power and toughness won’t change as the number of creatures you control changes.
