You can do that, yes. all it takes is to put the trigger that puts the creature into the library on top of the enchantment's search trigger. Because then the shuffle will happen first, and thus the creature is in the library when you go looking as instructed by the other trigger.
a) No, this doesn't work with Blightsteel Colossus, Darksteel Colossus, and Progenitus, because those have static abilities creating replacement effects. Due to those, the creatures never die and Remembrance doesn't trigger at all. Same for any other such cards.
b) Yes, it does work with Ulamog, Kozilek, and Emrakul, as well as other such cards that have actual triggers. Those can be stacked in the same way as in your original scenario.
You can differentiate between a) and b) by looking at the wording of the card. "If ... instead" is a replacement effect, "When ... dies" and "when is put into the graveyard from anywhere", etc. are triggers.
Remembrance's Oracle text says that "you may search your library for a card with the same name as that creature..." (C.R. 108.1; see also C.R. 706.1). Thus, what is relevant is what name that creature had just before it died (C.R. 603.10a, 603.10, 700.4, 603.6c). Whether the object put into the graveyard this way has left that graveyard in the meantime, or even how it leaves that graveyard, is irrelevant.
