You sacrifice a creature as part of the activation cost for High Market, putting the High Market ability on the stack (but you do not yet gain 1 life).
This triggers Cutthroat and Artist (twice each thanks to Teysa). You can choose the order of these four triggers, and all will be above the 1 life gain from Market.
Each time one of the four triggers resolves (gaining you 1 life and making your opponent lose 1 life), Sanguine Bond will trigger and go on the top of the stack, making your opponent lose 1 life when that trigger resolves.
When the whole stack finally finishes resolving and all the triggers are done, Zulaport will have made your opponents lose 2 life and gained you 2 life, Artist will have made one player lose 2 life (or two players lose 1 life each) and gained you 2 life, High Market will have gained you 1 life, and Sanguine Bond will have made an opponent lose 5 life (or split among up to 5 opponents in multiplayer if you choose). You: +5, opponent: -9 (assuming you don't target yourself with Blood Artist).
The sacrifice of the token creature through the activation of High Market will trigger the cutthroat and the Artist. due to Teysa, both trigger an additional time. so you get four triggers in the order of your choosing atop the activation of High Market. When any of those triggers resolve, Sanguine Bond triggers, and that triger is put on top, to resolve next, before anything else. Lastly, the Market's ability will resolve, ain yo one life, and trigger the Bond again.
So with this specific scenario, you will gain a total of 5 life, and your opponent will lose a total of 9 life (4 from the Cuthtroat's and Artist's abilities, 4 from the Bond triggers resulting from them, and 1 from the Bond trigger resulting from the Market's ability).
Anyway, I have a question about how multiple lifegain/life loss triggers would work in the stack and what the final life numbers would be.
Say I have a token creature, High Market, Zulaport Cutthroat, Blood Artist, Sanguine Bond, and Teysa Karlov all on the field. I use High Market to sacrifice the token creature and gain 1 life.
How do the rest of the triggers stack? How much life do I gain, and how much life does my opponent lose?
- High Market
- Zulaport Cutthroat
- Blood Artist
- Sanguine Bond
- Teysa Karlov
