So a player reading Frenzy Sliver, Lymph Sliver, and Virulent Sliver with their reminder text says, for example, that having 3 Frenzy Slivers gives each sliver three instances of "Whenever a Sliver attacks and isn't blocked, it gets +1/+0 until end of turn." They also say it stacks similarly with the other two. Is this the case or, referring to the previous example, does having three Frenzy Slivers give each sliver three instances of "Whenever this creature attacks and isn't blocked, it gets +1/+0 until end of turn."?
7/1/2013 Abilities that Slivers grant, as well as power/toughness boosts, are cumulative. However, for some abilities, like flying, having more than one instance of the ability doesn’t provide any additional benefit.
The confusion seems to come from the reminder text referring to each sliver, making it seem like only 3 Frenzy Slivers attacking and not being blocked would deal a total of 30 damage, where the other way, in the same scenario, those 3 Frenzy Slivers would deal a total of 12 damage.
Frenzy (C.R. 702.67a; "Whenever this creature attacks..."), absorb (C.R. 702.63a; "If a source would deal damage to this creature..."), and poisonous (C.R. 702.69a; "Whenever this creature deals...") all say "this creature", not "a Sliver". For absorb, see also this thread (C.R. 615.1, 702.63a). Note that reminder text, such as that found on Frenzy Sliver, Lymph Sliver, and Virulent Sliver, "has no game function", so is not intended to be as rigorous as the comprehensive rules (C.R. 207.2, 207.2a).
"Whenever a Sliver attacks and isn't blocked, it gets +1/+0 until end of turn." is meant to describe "All Sliver creatures have frenzy 1", not "frenzy 1". The first two work similarly.
