It is required that you use card tags when asking questions in the Magic Rulings forum, in order for the people who would answer you to be able to look up the cards more easily.
You need to write the full, correctly spelled card name within your post (tags do not work in thread titles), then either
1) Select it then click the icon of a single Magic card in the post toolbar
OR
2) Type [c] or [card] to the left and [/c] or [/card] to the right of the name.
Typing [c]Lightning Bolt[/c] or [card]Lightning Bolt[/card] (which is what method #1 does automatically for you) will yield this result : Lightning Bolt
Method #2 will work on any browser, including the one on your phone or other mobile device. You just need to find the square brackets ( [ ] ) and the forward slash ( / ) on your device's keyboard. So being on mobile is not an excuse!
You only need to do it once for each specific card in a given thread.
I'm a former judge (lapsed), who keeps up to date on rules and policy. Keep in mind that judges' answers aren't necessarily more valid than those of people who aren't judges; what matters is we can quote the rules to back up our answers. When in doubt, ask for such quotes.
