What happens when one copies the Resurgence half of Response//Resurgence? Oftentimes, copying extra combat spells is not particularly fruitful because the attacking creatures may not be untapped for the extra combat phases. In this case, assuming Resurgence is cast in a player's first main phase, does copying Resurgence create the following sequence: extra combat, extra main phase, extra combat, extra main phase, normal combat, normal main phase 2? Or would it instead create extra combat, extra combat, extra main phase, extra main phase, normal combat, normal main phase 2?
I would also be curious to know what happens if one copies Resurgence more than once.
Response // Resurgence 'After this main phase, there is an additional combat phase followed by an additional main phase.'
A pair Combat/Main is added each time Resurgence resolves.
If you copy it, another pair gets added; you'll end up with 3 pairs of Combat/Main phases intertwined.
