Hello everyone. I know this has been brought up but it still confuses me amd heres where it confuses me.
If coat of arms is out.
If theres two goblin worriors do they get a +1/+1 or +2/+2 or nothing? Do repeate creature types get the +1/+1 for each creature of the same type? If i have 5 golbin worriors and a goblin shaman whats the total?
If theres a elf shaman put into play who gets what?
Then if an elf worrior gets put into play whats the score total?
From what i understand it plays out like this.
Goblin worrior gets +2/+2 because theres two goblins out.
Goblin shaman +2/+2 same as the worrior.
Elf worrior +2/+2
Elf shaman +2/+2.
Im not sure if you can cross creature types and add +1/+1 for creature sub types.
Coat of Arms
Repeat creature types don't matter. If the creatures share at least one type then they each get +1/+1. So if you have 5 Goblin Warriors out they'd each get +4/+4.
For each creature, Coat of Arms counts the number of other creatures (that share at least a type with it), not the number of types they share.
Also, remember it looks at all creatures controlled by all players, not only you.
So, if you have 5 goblins warriors and one goblin shaman, and the opponent has no creatures, then each creature share at least a type with five other creatures, getting +5/+5
If your opponent then puts an Elf Shaman on the field:
- Each goblin warrior shares a type with the other four goblin warrior and the one goblin shaman, for a total of five creatures, so they stay at +5/+5 each.
- The goblin shaman shares a type with the five goblin warriors, and with the one elf shaman, for a total of six creatures, so it gets +6/+6
- The opponent's elf shaman shares a type with only the goblin shaman, so it gets only +1/+1
Then, the opponent gets an elf warrior:
- the elf warrior shares a type with the five goblin warriors and with the one elf shaman, six creatures, so it gets +6/+6.
- The goblin warriors go to +6/+6 each
- the goblin shaman stays at +6/+6
- the elf shaman is now at +2/+2
