I wanted to get some clarification on cards that involve "you may choose" I find it a little awkward because it says "you may" which from my understanding implies I don't have to.
1st example: Adventurous Impulse
I played this at FNM and I did not want to reveal the creature that I picked but I was told I have to do it due to the "you may" clause?
Let's say I cast this card and then cast Lightning Strike then choose to copy Lightning Strike. Then the first copy I have target the OP. Do I have to choose a new target?

"To keep things 100, anything I state is an opinion and not intended to be a fact. Any and all suggestions I give are a 100% opinion. If you need further clarification take the conversation to a PM. I am not in the business of assuming things. I'm only interested in 1 business and that business serves 2 things, Cold L's and Hot Dub's."
1) The ability is "you may reveal a creature or land card *and* put it into your hand". That is, you are free to not reveal anything, but the entire ability is a "may" which means if you don't reveal anything, you don't put anything in your hand. If you were allowed to still put a card in your hand without revealing it, how would anyone know that you actually chose a creature or land instead of, say, an Instant or Planeswalker? They couldn't which is why the reveal is there to begin with.
2) No. If you choose not to change the targets of the copy, it will just have the same target of the original. Also, you need to cast Lightning Strike *then* Naru Meha to do what you want.

I thought Naru Meha, Master Wizard would need to go first because wouldn't Lightning Strike resolve on the stack and go to the graveyard after it was used if it was first?

Naru Meha can only copy something on the stack. If you cast Naru Meha first, there won't be anything on the stack to copy. So, the correct order is:
Cast Lightning Strike
Hold Priority (this is important for this process)
Cast Naru Meha.
Naru Meha resolves and enters.
Its trigger goes onto the stack and you target the Lightning Strike
The trigger resolves and you get a copy.
You can choose new targets if you wish.
The copy resolves.
The original resolves.
