Idk if I'm writing this in the right place this is my first time.
If I attack with two Etali, Primal Storms, would their abilities resolve simultaneously, allowing me to exile only the top card, or separately, allowing me to exile the top two cards of each deck?
Also, since it says "whenever Etali attacks" not "whenever this creature attacks," would both card's ability trigger twice since they both have the same name? I've always wondered this one, since I see this wording quite a bit.
It made so much more sense in my head. Idk if this made sense. Thanks!
Separate objects resolve separately. When the two Etalis attack, you put their triggered abilities each on the stack, in whatever order you choose. When both those abilities resolve (assuming they're not countered) you exile first the top card of each player's library and cast any number of them without paying their mana costs. Then you do the same entire thing again. Note that you can't exile all at once and then decide which to cast. It's exile-and-cast, then exile-and-cast.
A card's name in its own abilities is shorthand for "this object." This means that even though the cards have the same name, each ability triggers only once when each of them attacks. Contrast Cylian Sunsinger, which refers to creatures sharing a name because it wants to, well, refer to all creatures by that name.
