Hi, I hava a few questions about the card Bloodshot Cyclops. Need to know since this card is included in the red homemade duel deck that we are making.. for teaching beginners. ^__^
Have both Bloodshot Cylops and a Shivan dragon on the battlefield. I use ability of the cylops to sac the dragon to deal 5 direct damage to the opponent.
Question 1. If opponent dark banishing the cylops or the dragon in response to the cyclops ability. Would 5 damage still be dealt?
Question 2. If opponent Boomerang the cyclops or the dragon in response to the cylops ability. Would 5 damage still be dealt?

And one last question.
Question 3: Can bloodshot cyclops sacrifice itself to it's ability in order to deal 4 damage to the opponent?
Once you've announced the cyclops's ability and sacrificed the dragon, the dragon is no longer on the battlefield for the opponent to target with Dark Banishing. The ability goes on the stack and will resolve.
Similarly with Boomerang, your opponent can Boomerang your cyclops, but that won't prevent the damage from being dealt.
Yes, your cyclops can be sacrificed to its own ability.
The cost of Bloodshot Cyclops's ability is to tap the Cyclops and sacrifice a creature. This cannot be responded to so if someone has activated the ability it is impossible to destroy or boomerang the sacrificed creature. Getting rid of the Cyclops will also do nothing. Once the ability is activated getting rid of the source does nothing in magic. The usual analogy is that in magic abilities are like grenades. If someone throws a grenade even if you kill the person who threw it the grenade is still going to go off.
And for your last question yes it can sacrifice itself. So long as the ability doesn't specifically say 'another creature' the creature with the ability is a valid choice.
