I'm a somewhat new mtg player and I am building my first deck. I was wondering if I were to give a creature counters until end of turn, but then use a Bioshift or a Fate Transfer to move those counters to a different creature, would the counters still go away at the end of the turn?
Generally, counters are not temporarily placed on a creature until end of turn. If you are referring to something like Giant Growth, it doesnt actually give a creature counters, it just temporarily boosts the creatures power and toughness
W may only be paid with white mana. U may only be paid with blue mana. B may only be paid with black mana. R may only be paid with red mana. G may only be paid with green mana. C may only be paid with colorless mana. 1 may be paid with white, blue, black, red, green, or clolorless mana.

ah, good to know, thank you
Notes: Two posts merged, quote added to contextualize the second reply.
Static p/t boosts are never counters - an effect that places one or more counters will say "counter."
