I haven't been able to find a ruling after the 2016 rules change about this, but can I include basic lands of any type in a colorless edh deck and have them produce colored mana?

No. Lands with basic land types (including basic lands but also things like Stomping Ground) can't be put in a Commander deck of color identity not corresponding to these basic land types.
903.5d. A card with a basic land type may be included in a Commander deck only if each color of mana it could produce is included in the commander's color identity.
Note however that if you do end up controlling a land able to produce mana outside of your color identity, say Mana Confluence, you can, the mana isn't filtered to colorless anymore, that rule was retired.

I'm a former judge (lapsed), who keeps up to date on rules and policy. Keep in mind that judges' answers aren't necessarily more valid than those of people who aren't judges; what matters is we can quote the rules to back up our answers. When in doubt, ask for such quotes.
Basic lands still have a color identity corresponding to their basic land type, so they can only be included in a Commander deck, if the Commander also has that color identity. If you somehow get your hands on an offcolor basic land within the game (taking control from an opponent, getting it out of an opponent's library or graveyard, etc.) you can tap it for the mana it normally produces.
In general, if your commander's color identity is colorless, neither a card with a basic land type nor a card with a color identity other than colorless can be included in your Commander deck (C.R. 903.5c-d). In the Brawl option, however, if your commander's color identity is colorless, your Commander deck "may contain any number of basic lands of one basic land type of [your] choice" (C.R. 903.11e).
In the traditional Commander variant—
"[a] card with a basic land type may be included in a Commander deck only if each color of mana it could produce is included in the commander's color identity" (C.R. 903.5d), and
a card, including a land card, "can be included in a Commander deck only if every color in its color identity is also found in the color identity of the deck's commander" (C.R. 903.5c).
However, none of the deck-building restrictions imposed in the traditional Commander variant or the Brawl option, and none of the other rules of that variant or option at the time of this writing, change what colors of mana a player can add.
EDIT (May 28): Edited in view of rule changes in Dominaria.
EDIT (Jan. 22, 2019): Edited in view of rule changes in Ravnica Allegiance.
EDIT (Feb. 13, 2019): Add rule citations.
The rules update with Ravnica Allegiance changed the Brawl option's rules in a way that affects this question.
Once Ravnica Allegiance is released (and in prereleases), in the Brawl option, if your commander's color identity is colorless, your Commander deck "may contain any number of basic lands of one basic land type of [your] choice" (C.R. 903.11e). Note that this does not apply to the traditional Commander variant.
