The spell resolves, is put in the graveyard, and the game continues. They can't win, but they've already cast the spell once before in the game, so it follows that line of text.
You basically pay 7 mana to put a card in your graveyard. In Magic, "'can't' beats 'can'". Since Platinum Angel says your opponent can't lose the game, this means you can't win the game. When Approach resolves, it does as much as it can and then goes to the graveyard. Since all it is trying to do is make you win the game, it does nothing and goes to the graveyard.
Nothing. You don't win because you cant and approach goes to the graveyard. It would have tried to win and failed and the otherwise clause wont occur as it would be a second (or later) casting in that game.
Thanks. I was basically looking for the global "Can'ts beat Cans" which is the only thing that makes sense
Here's the rule for that: 101.2. When a rule or effect allows or directs something to happen, and another effect states that it can't happen, the "can't" effect takes precedence.
Note: If this is a multiplayer game, instead of 1v1, all players other than the Platinum Angel player or the Approach the Second Sun player will lose when Approach the Second Sun resolves. In multiplayer, "You win the game" means "Each opponent loses the game".

That used to be true. It is not true anymore as of Amonkhet. In a limited-range-of-influence game that's still true - but other than that, in a freeforall, 'you win' just means you win.
