I have Inspiring Statuary on the field, as well as a servo token. If I emerge Elder Deep-Fiend, can I use that servo token to both reduce the cost of EDF through Improvise, and sacrifice it to emerge?
Yes, that works. When paying an Emerge cost, you choose the creature to sacrifice before you actually pay the cost. This way it can be used to determine the total cost of the spell. Then, you pay the costs of the spell and you can do it in any order. As long as you tap the creature for Improvise first and then sacrifice it, it will satisfy the sac a creature part of Emerge as well as 1 for the cost.

The relevant ruling from Gatherer:
7/13/2016 The creature chosen to be sacrificed is still on the battlefield up through the time that you activate mana abilities. Its abilities may affect the spell’s cost, be activated to generate mana, and so on. However, if it has an ability that triggers when a spell is cast, it will have been sacrificed before that ability can trigger.
