This topic came up the other day. The site here has a thread based on the topic of who's the best creature in MTG history, so why not a thread that talks about the most crappy chaff creatures in the game?
NOTE if there's a thread with such content then please just let this one be locked good mods;
Back to the topic. It's easy for me to say that Tarmogoyf {spite opinions is proven to be} is the best creature in the history of MTG.....but I can't be so fast on to say which creature is the worst creature in the game.
I will let the members here start the thread with their opinions. If it takes off you know I'll post soon with my thoughts and ofcourse own opinion on the topic.
Lets try open our minds on this one {everyone's opinion is welcome on this thread}, and please let no rock be unturned. Surely there's a creature that's the worst creature in MTG........just who/ or what is it?
S.M.
Deathknell Kami
It requires more mana to do ANY damage and then dies, the soulshift kinda makes up for it a little, but its still worst than chimney imp prolly.

Pride is a powerful tool; it makes us fight harder when we are weak as does it cut us down while we are at our prime.
If you are a player in the Lancaster, PA area or go to school at Millersville University there is a Magic Club that holds all kinds of events! Checkout our Facebook Page or message me, Austin Rittle! http://www.facebook.com/groups/170267396386812/
I'd have to say Mindless Null is pretty terrible, it's a 3 CMC bear with a drawback.
I'd agree if it wasn't for the fact that he may be bad yet still playable, personally I have drafted a deck that I was almost able to play mono black but I had 3 open slots and 3 mindless nulls. I got 2nd of 8 in that draft and was flamed for playing the nulls, but didn't regret it.

My personal faves have always been Takeno's Cavalry, Zephyr Spirit and Viridian Scout, but I'm sure there are other crappy ones from older sets that I can't think of right now.
EDIT: also, Wood Elemental being posted reminds me of Shimatsu. Not as bad as the former, but still...
Wood Elemental. Massive card disadvantage combined with the fact you need some mana to cast him, meaning you likely have some tapped forests, all to bring out a vanilla critter for 4 cmc on what is likely a much later turn. And it was a rare. The other cards mentioned so far are just sub-par or very limited/weak. Wood Elemental is genuinely bad.

1.) Anyone who thinks cancel is viable should be shot. in the face. with a hammer.
2.) You misunderstand, what I was suggesting was the total exclusion of Spellstutter Sprite, because it just isnt that good anymore.
3.) Understand, Dredge is not really a Magic: The Gathering deck. When a card is playable in it, it doesn't mean it's a tournament playable card. It means it's playable in whatever crazy fantasy world that Dredge operates in.
I dare anyone to find a more worthless creature than this.
I did. Wood Elemental. Norin had some casual decks that exploited CIP (or I guess it's COTB now) effects or leaving effects and at least had that fringe jank appeal. No one uses Wood Elemental. I never even saw the damn thing get used back when it was new.

Accursed Centaur. It's dead by the time you cast it, or it kills your Phage the Untouchable (which is also a bad card when playing a deck like sleigh).
Bravo to the member that find this worthless pile Zephyr Spirit!
To note I have a long list, and here are just a few that are on it; Scarecrow {If you can't handle a flying creatures by the time this guy hits then you've already lost turns in advance.} Derelor {Wizards way of almost giving us a Juzam...good job....lets just pay more to play the black deck.....or splash} Homarid {I must hold my tongue.} Samite Alchemist {this card is overpriced, and hinders your use of the creature for an effect....time is tempo, and this one was shot dead before they printed it.}
Have more to come!
S.M.
I like Zephyr Spirit. You can block with it as much as you want and it never dies!
I've still yet to see a creature card that's that horrible. Shouldn't there be a card out there that's not only over cost but that actually hurts you when you play it? Kind of like a One With Nothing for creatures?
I want to imagine that there's something worse than Wood Elemental.
Nothing beats Wood Elemental. Everyone posting 4/4s for 5 mana or 1/1s for 1 mana or 2/2s for 3 mana needs to take a good hard long look at the monstrosity that is Wood Elemental.

I suppose this is more like the worst fatties of all time, as well.
Those cards can finish an opponent, especially back in the day. So I don't think any of those cards are even close to the worst card of all time.
I will admit I am finding it hard to beat Wood Elemental however. It figures the worst creature of all time is a sexual euphemism.

How is that guy bad at all? I mean, he's not great, but I could see him being used in limited for sure.
