Hello, so I'm not NEW to magic,(but I am to this fourm)however I'm not an expert by any means, and I wanted t post my custom made deck here so you could pick it apart and tell me how much I suck at the game. =) ps, this deck is me basically buying about 3000 magic cards in those bulk box things on amazon and throwing a deck together from it so its got cards from every era.

This is never going to result in a good deck, just FYI.
So almost everything is a 1-of. That is really really bad. Basically what this means is a deck with zero consistency; whatever your plan is, you'll always have way worse odds than your opponents of drawing it. In fact it'll probably never happened.
What is your plan? What do you want the deck to be doing?
I completely agree with void, running 1-of's makes your deck very inconsistent.
Now you have to ask yourself what is the game plan for this deck? How to you plan to win?
Is it with early aggressive creatures, like Night Market Lookout and Aerial Swooper? Are you wanting to mill your opponent out with Jace's Erasure? Are you playing control and winning with a huge late game creature, like Soul of New Phyrexia or It That Betrays?
You also have cards in this deck that just don't do anything, or aren't being fully supported. Throne of Bone - Pure lifegain (and even then this is conditional on when it happens) just isn't worth running, unless you get bonuses from the lifegain. Telepathy - Ok you can see your opponent's hand? How does that help you win the game? Efficient Construction, Quicksmith Spy and Tezzeret's Touch - All these want to be in heavy artifact decks, and you are only running 10 artifacts. Sure you have a couple ways to make artifact tokens, but it is still too low.
And on a completely different note, you are running 20 lands, this is far too low. A typical 60 card deck wants 24 lands. If you go more aggressive than you can go lower to 22 or so, depending on how aggressive you are. A slower control deck that always wants to hit land drops would probably want maybe 26 lands.
Well these are just my opinions on the matter, so make of it what you will.
hey guys, thanks for the quick replies! thanks for the input as well. I'm glad that I now know how bad my deck truly is, so I've started to come up with an idea of what I want my deck to be, I want a deck that has a bunch of small creatures, with a few heavy hitters in the rear. so with your input I've begun to tear apart my deck and rebuild it with the idea in mind that I need a lot of "draw cards" cards to quickly draw my essentials while my cheap creatures keep my guarded. once again thanks for the input.
