Some of you may have seen these in the Bundle Packs you have opened. I was about to send it back to Wizards (addressed from my son) to see if they would send back a promo card or Arena code (for him). Luckily I searched this first.
Somebody sent it in and received a letter in response.
WotC has missed the PERFECT opportunity to build hype and brand loyalty by not sending out a promo card (any promo card) or Arena code to someone that goes out of their way to fill out the RSVP and the stamp to send it. It could have been a cool viral type of marketing as well but nope, just a form letter. Am I surprised? Not in the least. Sometimes I don't think WotC marketing could hit water if they fell out of a boat.

I just threw that in the bin after a quick chuckle, total waste of printer ink imo.
Agreed. These invitations along with the unnecessary extra packaging bundles produce should go in recycling bins where it belongs
Bundles (and fat packs) have always been a bad purchase from the consumer standpoint in my opinion.
What's a bundle good for?...gambling, an arty box, and an oversized spindown die?
You can't run a 4-player draft with it nor a 2-player sealed, won't open enough quality cards to build a half-decent constructed deck from it, and the promos aren't even random which effectively lowers the rarity of those particular "rare" cards (included in every bundle). You never break even unless you open the chase foil mythic or rare, so at best the product is a tease, and at worst it's a dozen bulk rares you weren't even looking for. I just find the product confusing and don't see who the target market is (suckers?). If you're a Magic player and/or collector who just enjoys opening packs and spending more than you would just buying the singles you actually want, isn't it always more cost efficient, and doesn't it always make more sense to simply buy traditional (draft) booster boxes instead?
If all bundles moving forward were "Gift Edition" with a collector's pack (and without the additional price markup we see now), at least there'd be some incentive to purchase one on occasion. That's my two cents
I used to like the bundles because I liked collecting the player guides, but now that they don't have them anymore I don't buy the bundles.
Exactly! At least those had some collectability value to them, similar to the mini instruction/story books which used to be included in old Starter packs (evidenced by the fact that I actually kept and still have a few from Revised, Mirage, and Tempest). *sigh* Those were the days...

Exactly. Waste of paper and ink. Now they could have accepted them via mail, kept and recycled them and sent out a promo Wedding Invitation (or any other promo) for redemption. Or they could have included a tiny card with an Arena code in the bundle. Or they could have built hype/good will by including a Double Feature card promo in the bundle. Maybe 2 oversized dice in the bundle for his/hers wedding rings in red and gold colors. Flipping anything at all. No they pick a stupid invitation that does nothing (and is worth nothing) but add to the trash going to a landfill.
WotC marketing is cheap, stingy and frankly dim-witted.

Perhaps Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro were originally planning on doing the Wedding Invitations for the Crimson Vow In-Person Pre-Release Events taking place but since they probably had a low turnout due to potential players social distancing from the ongoing pandemic they didn't want to take the risk and decided to ultimately scrap the idea entirely. Either that or their PR when it comes to e-commerce sales via Secret Lair drops were more important while the company could be reeling from the effects of the Great Resignation that occurred with millions of people quitting their jobs though I don't believe there were any mask or vaccine mandates at Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro HQ in Seattle, Washington.

Its possible I suppose but would it really ruin a company to send out a few hundred promo cards to the few hundred people that probably sent in the invitation on a blind whim with no guarantee of getting anything in return? Yes they probably couldn't have done it for addresses outside the United States. Sending back the invitation with a computer generated form letter is crappy and completely tone deaf.

Makes me think of the old player rewards promo cards from playing FNMs and such.
Was always happy to get them.
