I'm looking at getting some Magic cards to play with my wife. I've played a little bit of MTG arena so have a very basic understanding of the rules, but it's unlikely that I'll be able to explain them to someone else (plus there's no doubt gaps in my existing knowledge!)
What I'm trying to work out is what to buy to start out. I was thinking of one or two of the starter sets because (a) they appear to contain the rules and (b) I have no idea about how to create a deck myself, and it's pointless learning how to do so until I've worked out whether my wife will like the game or not! The two sets I've found are these, which I assume are different as one is an Amazon exclusive and the other isn't.
Yep, try either of them out first and get the hang of the game in paper. We can help you out further if needed. Cheers.

Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Note that those two products listed are exactly the same product. All of them have the exact same cards inside, with the only difference being which of those cards are shiny (which is not really relevant for any of those 4 cards).
I can’t really explain why wizards did something like that. The best guess that I’ve heard is that Amazon either required or incentivized the creation of an “Amazon-exclusive” product and wizards went about it in one of the laziest ways possible.

Would either of these do the job?
Thanks
