so think is just a speculation for players that want to play r/w in kaldheim. what other engineers think that 7 dwarves might be a pretty solid deck this time around? and for that matter, dwarves in general?
In a 60 card deck having 7 isnt really going to cut it.
So far dwarfs dont look particularly great (humans in general provide a lot more tribal support).
Magda, Brazen Outlaw however is a pretty powerful card, even without any other Dwarf, as she can produce a lot of treasures (tapping her to crew a vehicle or something else, or just attacking).
If we get some decent Dwarf creatures it might be worth playing (looks like white/red).
But to be a really good deck, Dwarfs need quite a power jump to compete against the existing cards in constructed.
I don't think Magda needs dwarf support to be good so much as gold support to win the game with a dragon.
As of right now the dwarves are sorta like a Ravenous rats, which are moderate playables in limited formats. You kinda have to hit a turn 2/3/4 curve with them to really get value out of them over any number of other 2 drops that exist, so I don't think Magda alone will get there, especially without a good 1 drop dwarf, and really you probably need 2.
well it seems dwarves will most likely crewing vehicles to be tapping out a dragon, i really want a professional pilot drwaf for it, but i'd still run 7 dwarves as more of a "tempo gamble" in addtion to these other things, since most of the expensive slots will most likely be dragons
In standard/pioneer/modern, I don’t think 7 dwarves would be entirely too good. BUT, for casual play, jeskai thrumming stone with added self-mill would make a fun jank deck if there’s a dwarf tribal semi-win-con that gets printed.
