I was unfamiliar with them up until I saw a few people retweet the user's announcement that they had been removed by WotC. I guess they're really trying to change their image now.
I'm not really sure of how to feel about this one but I guess I sort of understand
A quick search makes it hard to know why exactly they removed her but I remember something similar when a Chandra X Liliana playmat was circulating and it drew lots of ire. If she violated clear cut codes of conduct then its completely understandable and I expect a number of others to receive similar treatment as most companies are rather lax enforcing their codes of conduct until someone points out violations. At which point the streets may run red with not so innocent victims.
not familiar with their stuff at all, but wotc has definitely cracked down on that sort of thing in the past. it goes directly against their code of conduct.
so... meh, needed to happen if they violated that.
She broke the WotC code of conduct. WotC is within their bounds.
Now with that said. WotC should have contacted her and offered her a second chance asking her to take down the images and they could keep ties. If she would have complied, no harm no foul. If she broke it again then ties would be cut immediately. Or if she had refused to take them down, well within her rights, WotC could again cut ties. This stuff doesn't need to be blown out of proportion if the parties involved would act like real adults, not petulant children.

Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Didn't Steve Argyle get fired years ago for posting some rather tame Lili x Chandra art (I'm pretty sure it's the one on the playmat where they kiss).
This isn't anything new. Excising racist cards and cutting ties with controversial artists might be new, but draw the characters getting it on and your gone has been a long standing thing. That's not about morality or anything, it's about controlling the IP.
That said, after seeing the pictures she claims prompted this, I'm having a hard time finding the issue. While they are beyond what wizards allows for their product, only one of the pictures actually features anything directly related to magic. And even then it's using a couple of cards as pasties. Assuming that this is the extent of it, she should have got nothing more than a warning not to use cards in semi nude photos.
The Meaning of Life: "M-hmm. Well, it's nothing very special. Uh, try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations"
Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!
i think there's a big difference between a liliana of the veil, or a fire elemental, and her having an onlyfans. her tweet, and a lot of the arguments against this decision (there aren't many) come across as someone who knows they broke the rules and is just pissy about. they want a controversy here where one doesn't exist.
not the first time they've dumped people for sexualizing magic, won't be the last either, but there's a very clear standard and a very clear precedent so... tough *****
oh, and even if this sort of thing is common in that program... well... ya got caught. thats the other difference.
