Hi guys, I used to play magic many years ago and now I want to come back, but I have a couple of questions and I was wondering if any of you guys can help me out.
I want to play with my gf so Commander is out.
I don't like dual decks.
I didn't like much Planeswalker.
I want to buy something basic and then add up more cards.
I'm guessing having decks divided by colors and selecting one to fight against other color.
I want to start building a collection.
And I have some questions:
Is the core set 2020 better than the 2019?
I should buy two core set or just one and then add more cards?
Are the Planeswalker included in all core set? I want to avoid them.
I m planning on spending between 200 and 300 dollars, any ideas on what is the best buy?
I’m not sure what you mean by buying a core set. Do you mean a booster box of a core set or buying an entire set. Either way I advise against if you want to avoid planeswalkers. In fact, you shouldn’t buy any boosters or full sets as every set has planeswalkers.
While you mentioned commander as being out your reason for it being out doesn’t make sense. You can 1v1 commander. And it’s realistically the best way to get into magic if you want to avoid playing planeswalkers. There are almost none in the preconstructed decks.
