When I say competitive, of course I mean something that's actually won major tournaments and become an important part of the meta. Any competitive constructed format - standard, modern, legacy, vintage...block constructed?
Thanks, I think I've read that article before actually, but it was good to look it over again.
I'm not personally trying to build any extra-sized decks, I'm just curious if I can think of any reason to do so in commander (where it isn't currently legal - a pointless restriction imo).
I don't think any of the reasons stated in that article would apply to commander, at least as far as I can tell. They all seem like very specific metagame choices that simply don't exist in commander.
The 4000 land deck is hilarious. Idk why you wouldn't just include a couple creatures though. I guess because then you'd actually need to shuffle it?

But since bigger decks have to have very good reasons for that, they don't change the overall wisdom of staying at the minimum deck size.
