I would like to make a thread about the victories that have made us feel better, why and how, I suppose I will start and I hope I do not have to finish it too
Avenge me with Blood Funnel of all the people who have used Turbo Fog or some trash of the style to let them know that there is no merit or fun in playing 30min starting where +20 min you do it alone.
they did it to me when I had the infinite damage combo Murderous Redcap + Melira, Sylvok Outcast + Viscera Seer, I told him to give up because he wanted to lose, but he said no and started making him the combo, when he got a touch To die use the ability of your Scavenging Ooze to exile Murderous Redcap from the cemetery.
I took a few moments to realize what had happened.
I lost his turn.
Every single time my opponent is ensured to win the game and i can turn the game around to leave them completely bamboozled, thats my kind of victory.
Feels like you cheated the universe , a glitch in the matrix , without ACTUALLY cheating that is.
That happened to me twice this week. It's somewhat better when the individual is a real jack*** about the game.
Last FNM, I was down to 5 life with a single Archway Angel facing off against two 2/2 knights and a History of Benalia about to pop. After Benalia pops, he casts Ixalan's Binding on my Angel then swings in for lethal. I didn't get the chance to do anything with the stack, he just did it in all one go. I quietly asked him to rewind to the point that Binding is on the stack (a judge is called at this point). I cast Justiciar's Portal on my Angel with 12 Gates in play. As he tried to figure out the card and understand what I did, his entire demeaned changed. He got a lot more aggressive with his plays and his general attitude towards me.
He swings in for 8. I let it go through and I'm now at 21. I top deck Quasiduplicate, cast it on the Angel, and I go to 45. I discard my last card (a basic land) to Jump-Start Quasiduplicate on the same turn and clone my Angel again. I go to 69. I swing for a meager 3. He holds back an attack to preserve his knights and casts another Benalia. On my turn I see he still has just enough colors for both Settle the Wreckage and a Counterspell of some type for the two remaining cards in his hand. I put down the Banefire I just top decked for lethal. He throws down Wizard's Retort with a loud, "suck my ****s." I look around and realize a lot of people are watching the game. Everyone is silent as it dawns on my opponent he just lost.
The other happened today at a casual game. My opponent stabilized the board with creatures and a card draw engine and I'm on a clock from 40-something life down to 25 with no obvious out. I have 7 lands, five or so lifegain vampires and Epicure of Blood in play. I have Champion of Dusk, Settle the Wreckage and a random angel in hand. I decided to cast Champion to find a swamp and a Skymarch Bloodletter. He wasn't acting like a jerk like the guy above. He just wasn't very happy I won. I don't blame him really.

Nothing is worse than sore losers. I know way too many people who just shutdown whenever they lose, or they get upset and start trying to insult who beat them.
I've been playing Arena a lot, I generally have fun when I manage to carve out a win by not giving up. Hard to think of specific matches but it's nice to be rewarded for not folding.
It was a four-player game of Commander that I won on 1 life, with no cards left in my library, spending all of my mana, and dealing the exact amount of damage I needed. It was quite a while ago so I don't remember the exact details, but I was playing Bladewing the Risen, and the card that did it for me was Heretic's Punishment.
Most satisfying win ever for me was at a 2HG Origins tournament during GenCon one year with my brother. We got to see a bunch of really neat costumes, and managed to take first place with an amazing comeback in the final round from 1 life while they were still at 30 (2HG being a best-of-1 format). My brother was in BG, I was in WU.
We stabilized with an Eyeblight Massacre into two Sentinels of the Eternal Watch, one after the other, that kept all the new creatures they played tapped down, knowing their red player had two Lightning Javelins just waiting to show up. Right when they built up enough of a board to be able to swing past the Sentinels next turn despite the taps, my brother played a timely Languish and we swung for the win the following turn.
It was a great time. We won a booster box and no other packs I've opened since have been quite so sweet.

I have not played Commander in life, I only know that it is 1 card as maximum and that there is a boss who sets the colors or something like that.
Trust me when I say that you only need to appreciate the game of Magic to get entertainment out of the stories/plays in that thread. No commander experience required. Give it a shot.

Wins against those people are always satisfying.
