This is all assuming we have enough initial storm to draw the rest of our Blood for Bones and Concocts from the first Gaea's blessing right?
I think that's what I was missing. It is that the setup lets us get a bunch of free things, and we want to use those to iterate the most powerful resources possible. Additional creature fetcher are iterations instead of multiplication like repeated reverberation, because we still have the "original" blood for bones waiting, and we are maximizing the storm count there. Whereas activating Sarkhan with more RRs still uses up the one free activation.
Thanks for explaining.
Hmm, but won't Herald of faith kill them? If we wrath we also kill whatever is wearing the daggers.
Edit: hmm probably only drakuseth or Raging Regisaur with be worth it because an extra Sarkhan is so much better than a squad of swathcutters that we can't combo out in between, because we need to actually hit with the daggers.
I was thinking we could use our Blood for Bones and Bankrupt in Blood spells to sacrifice our Herald of Faith attackers after we gain a lot of life. But, your creatures are better. It looks like we want to have Swathcutter Giant for the immediate effect, and either Raging Regisaur or Drakuseth for the effect later.
Hmm, but we can't use a Wrath Nova during combat, so we can't take full advantage of multiple opponent life gains. So Swathcutter Giant gets us an X to X -> X -> X -> 8 effect rather than an X -> X -> X -> 10 effect. In that case, we might as well just use Raging Regisaur, since we need just 5 copies to kill Sarkhan, and all the others can damage an Imperial Ceratops on the opponent's side. Swathcutter Giant can gain the opponent more life, but it is better by some small (sub-Ackermann) function, whereas having another creature fetcher means we have X -> X -> 6 -> 5 Raging Regisaurs as opposed to X Swathcutter Giants. And we can sacrifice all the Raging Regisaurs with a bunch of Blood for Bones.
yeah we cant wrath in combat, so casting a bunch of Blood for bones looks a bit tricky.
Emergent Growth also damages their dinos too, and get lifegain triggers that we can put under the transform triggers and let us start to wrath after transforming the artifacts.
Casting Blood for Bones doesn't look too hard, since we fortunately have multiples. So we can cast a Blood for Bones that sacrifices a Raging Regisaur, then cast a Blood for Bones that sacrifices a Citywatch Sphinx, and respond to the trigger by casting Disdainful Stroke on the original. Then we reshuffle everything back in, and repeat.
Good point about Emergent Growth - so we use Raging Regisaur to destroy Sarkhan and get some initial life gain to the opponent when we attack, then we cast Emergent Growth on all our Regisaurs, and give the opponent exactly as many Imperial Ceratops as we have Regisaurs. When combat damage is dealt, we transform our Dowsing Daggers, and then resolve the damage triggers for all the Imperial Ceratops one at a time. Sounds good!
Edit: No wait, scratch that - if we are to have Raging Regisaur destroy Sarkhan, then we should use Sarkhan prior to combat. That means that getting opponent life gain triggers after that first Sarkhan won't be nearly as effective as creature fetching prior to the first Sarkhan, so Emergent Growth isn't worth it.
But we need to draw blood for bones, as black mana is expensive.
I guess if we save Bankrupt in blood can draw Blood for bones enough if we save it from the last copy of Gaea's blessing. So it looks not as awkward as I initially thought.
And yeah this is all after activating sarkhan the first time, so the Emergent Growth is a lot less effective.
I guess saving a Bankrupt in Blood is not really worth it, since we can use it to take X to X -> X -> 6 -> 6 instead. So after that, we give the opponent about X/5 of Imperial Ceratopses and about X Angel of Vitality, and make about X Raging Regisaurs. Then when we attack, we can give the opponent about X^2 life (actually more, since we can keep updating the number of Angel of Vitality), and then he can take 4X life during combat damage, and it's not a big deal.
Hmm we can kill our own Citywatch sphinx with the Regisaur triggers to update the number of angels they have without wrathing too early.
(and we only need to give them one ceratops)
Edit: Earlier, I considered switching out the Manifold Key for another Mox Amber, but decided it didn't work, because we couldn't properly copy it with Replicate. But, Stony Strength or Act of Treason should work fine. So if we make the substitution, we can exile Llanowar Elves. On the downside, we need to add another artifact, so we wind up even in terms of exilable cards.
We can also then switch to 2 Leyline of Abundances and 3 Stony Strengths, rather than 3 Leylines, 1 Stony Strength, and 2 Act of Treasons. That leaves the number of extra cards also in a dead tie. On the plus side, we now have access to 1 CMC cards, if there was any that we wanted to use.
In case we can't find any such card, which configuration is better? The double Mox Amber version gets one more storm count early, so that we can draw 30 cards rather than 27 for the Manifold Key version. On the other hand, we can get more white mana early on in the Manifold Key version, so we might be able to get more successful Wraths in the ministage than the double Mox Amber version. We'll have to check to make sure.
Without a ministage, karn looks worse, but he does let us already have an animated key, saving us 2 landfall triggers ... yeah that's not very much. I guess it depends on if we want a ministage?
So, it looks like the version with Manifold Key has the better start. I was only able to get two Wrath Novas before we proliferate, which we can certainly do in the double Mox Amber version, but with the Manifold Key version we can animate the Key to generate a lot of red mana, which can allow us to chain a lot of Repeated Reverberations together. So that is something that I don't think we can make up with the Mox Amber version.
We get a TYS trigger to draw 10 cards with Gaea's Blessing, and 10 Repeated Reverberation triggers to draw 2 cards and reshuffle 6 cards each. So we draw 30 cards total.
There are 47 cards left that are not in play or exile. We don't need to draw:
1 Azor's Gateway
2 Mishra's Self-Replicator
3 Sarkhan, Dragonsoul
4 Dreadmalkin
5 Imperial Ceratops
6 Dowsing Dagger
7 Switcheroo
8 Angel of Vitality
9 Vicious Rumors
10 Stony Strength
11 Disdainful Stroke
12 Repudiate // Replicate
13 Saheeli, Sublime Artificer
14 Raging Regisaur
15 Lotus Field
16 Gaea's Blessing
17 Ionize
18 The Antiquities War
19 Manifold Key
20 Cleansing Nova
21 Cleansing Nova
22 Act of Treason
23 Act of Treason
We need to draw:
1 Omniscience
2 Emergence Zonze
3 The Antiquties War
4 Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle
5 Militia Bugler
6 Tragic Poet
7 Citywatch Sphinx
8 Kaya's Ghostform
9 Blood for Bones
10 Bankrupt in Blood
11 Karn, the Great Creator
12-14 Thousand-Year Storm
15-17 Blood for Bones
18-20 Connive // Concoct
21 World Shaper
22 Wayward Swordtooth
23 Evolution Sage
and the remaining 7 draws can be of Repeated Reverberation.
So, after the TYS trigger for Gaea's Blessing, we can cast:
Repeated Reverberation (don't resolve TYS trigger) - 12G,4U,6R - 11 storm
L - Disdainful Stroke (on Repeated Reverberation)- 11G,3U,7R - 12 storm
L - Stony Strength - 14G,4U,8R - 13 storm
L - Repudiate (on Stony Strength's TYS trigger - 12G,4U,9R - 14 storm
Resolve TYS trigger for Repeated Reverberation, get 14 copies of RR
After the first RR trigger for Gaea's Blessing, we can cast:
Repeated Reverberation (don't resolve TYS trigger or 14 RR triggers) - 12G,4U,10R - 15 storm
L - Disdainful Stroke (on Repeated Reverberation)- 11G,3U,11R - 16 storm
L - Stony Strength - 14G,4U,12R - 17 storm
L - Repudiate (on Stony Strength's TYS trigger) - 12G,4U,13R - 18 storm
Resolve TYS trigger and RR triggers for Repeated Reverberation, get 46 copies of RR
We continue in this fashion; at the end of each sequence, we resolve the TYS trigger and RR triggers for Repeated Reverberation, and these will trigger for the next instant/sorcery we cast, which will be Repeated Reverberation after the resuffle. This causes the number of Repeated Reverberation copies to increase exponentially. After the 7th and 8th RR triggers for Gaea's Blessing, we will use Repudiate on an RR trigger for RR rather than the TYS trigger for Stony Strength, to get us some more mana. After the 8th RR trigger for Gaea's Blessing, we will have 352 green mana, 90 blue mana, 37 red mana, and 9156 Repeated Reverberation copies just resolved.
So, after the 9th RR trigger for Gaea's Blessing, we will cast:
L - Repeated Reverberation (don't resolve TYS trigger or 9156 RR triggers) - 350G, 90U, 36R - 47 storm
L - Ionize (on Gaea's Blessing) - 349G, 89U, 36R - 48 storm
L - Repudiate (on TYS trigger for Ionize) - 347G, 89U, 37R - 49 storm
L - Disdainful Stroke (on original Ionize) - 346G, 88U, 38R - 50 storm
Resolve RR trigger for Ionize, counter Gaea's Blessing
L - Stony Strength - 553G, 140U, 39U - 51 storm
Resolve triggers for Repeated Reverberation, get 18,363 copies of Repeated Reverberation
Finally, we resolve the 10th RR trigger for Gaea's Blessing, and reshuffle the above cards into the deck, along with Gaea's Blessing. We next Cast Omnisciece, the remaining three Thousand-Year Storms, Karn, the Great Creator, and Citywatch Sphinx. We cast The Antiquties War, which triggers and we fetch and play Manifold Key. We then cast Replicate; with the 4 TYS triggers and 18,363 RR triggers, we will wind up with 36,935 total copies of Replicate, which we will use to create 21,185 copies of Citywatch Sphinx, and 15,750 copies of Gyre Engineer, which will bring us to 63,551 green mana, 15,889 blue mana, and 40 red mana. Next we activate Karn to turn Manifold Key into a creature. We then cast:
L - Switcheroo - 63551G, 15884U, 41R - 53 storm
L - Gravitic Punch - 63551G, 15881U, 41R - 54 storm
L - Disdainful Stroke - 63551G, 15879U, 42R - 55 storm
L - Act of Treason (on Manifold Key) - 63551G, 15877U, 263R, 4W - 56 storm
L - Repeated Reverberation (don't resolve triggers) - 63551G, 15875U, 262R, 4W - 57 storm
L - Stony Strength (on Manifold Key) - 63550G, 15875U, 498R, 4W - 58 storm
Resolve Repeated Reverberation triggers, get 232 copies
L - Act of Treason (on Manifold Key) - 63550G, 15873U, 1199R, 4W - 59 storm
We next cast Kaya's Ghostform on the nontoken Citywatch Sphinx, and cast a Cleansing Nova from the library, choosing creatures. We get 4 TYS triggers; we resolve the first getting 60 copies of Cleansing Nova. We resolve the first one, and destroy all creatures.
This destroys all 21,186 copies of Citywatch Sphinx, triggering Kaya's Ghostform and 21,186 instances of surveil 2. We resolve the Kaya's Ghostform first, bringing Citywatch Sphinx back to the battlefield. We will then resolve the 21,186 instances of surveil 2; the first 21,185 will mill Gaea's Blessing, causing us to reshuffle the graveyard into the library. This will allow us to cast our instants many times. We will cast 21,184 copies of Stony Strength, and 21,180 copies of Repudiate. Three of those copies of Repudiate will counter the remaining three TYS triggers for Cleansing Nova; the remainder can counter TYS copies of Stony Strength. We will also cast 60 copies of Disdainful Stroke, to counter the remaining 60 copies of Cleansing Nova on the stack. Finally, before the last 600 reshuffles, we will cast Repeated Reverberation each time right after the previous reshuffle, and hold the TYS and RR triggers for it until right before the next reshuffle. We will also Disdainful Stroke each of the original Repeated Reverberations.
Before the last reshuffle, we will have increased our storm count to 43684, and have about 6.854 * 10^185 Repeated Reverberation copies just resolved. We will have 2 green mana and 13473 blue mana remaining.
The last reshuffle will shuffle are graveyard into our library, and the last surveil will then mill Kaya's Ghostform and The Antiquties War.
We then play Militia Bugler, which will fetch Gyre Engineer from the library, which we play again. We also play Tragic Poet.
We then cast Replicate, getting 1.3707 * 10^186 copies. We create 5.874 * 10^185 copies of Gyre Engineer, and 7.833 * 10^185 copies of Citywatch Sphinx, and also a copy of Tragic Poet. We sacrifice both copies of Tragic Poet to fetch Kaya's Ghostform and The Antiquities War from the graveyard, and we cast Kaya's Ghostform on the nontoken Citywatch Sphinx again. We then cast Cleansing Nova again, choosing creatures. We will cast 7.833 * 10^185 copies of both Stony Strength and Repudiate, increasing our storm count to 1.567 * 10^186. We make sure to Repudiate and Disdainful Stroke the remaining TYS triggers and copies of Cleansing Nova.
We play Evolution Sage, and Replicate 1.567 * 10^186 copies of it. We play Wayward Swordtooth, and then Emergence Zone, triggering all 1.567 * 10^186 Evolution Sages. We respond to the triggers by sacrificing Emergence Zone, giving all our spells flash.
1 Omniscience
2 Emergence Zonze
3 The Antiquties War
4 Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle
5 Militia Bugler
6 Tragic Poet
7 Citywatch Sphinx
8 Kaya's Ghostform
9 Blood for Bones
10 Bankrupt in Blood
11 Karn, the Great Creator
12-14 Thousand-Year Storm
15-17 Blood for Bones
18-19 Connive // Concoct
20 Cleansing Nova
21 Cleansing Nova
22 World Shaper
23 Wayward Swordtooth
24 Evolution Sage
and the remaining 6 draws can be of Repeated Reverberation.
After the 8th RR trigger for Gaea's Blessing, we will have 358 green mana, 84 blue mana, 35 red mana, and 9156 Repeated Reverberation copies just resolved.
So, after the 9th RR trigger for Gaea's Blessing, we will cast:
L - Repeated Reverberation (don't resolve TYS trigger or 9156 RR triggers) - 358G, 82U, 34R - 47 storm
L - Ionize (on Gaea's Blessing) - 358G, 80U, 34R - 48 storm
L - Repudiate (on TYS trigger for Ionize) - 356G, 80U, 35R - 49 storm
L - Disdainful Stroke (on original Ionize) - 356G, 78U, 36R - 50 storm
Resolve RR trigger for Ionize, counter Gaea's Blessing
L - Stony Strength - 563G, 130U, 37U - 51 storm
Resolve triggers for Repeated Reverberation, get 18,363 copies of Repeated Reverberation
Finally, we resolve the 10th RR trigger for Gaea's Blessing, and reshuffle the above cards into the deck, along with Gaea's Blessing. We next Cast Omnisciece, the remaining three Thousand-Year Storms, Karn, the Great Creator, and Citywatch Sphinx. We cast The Antiquties War, which triggers and we fetch and play Manifold Key. We then cast Replicate; with the 4 TYS triggers and 18,363 RR triggers, we will wind up with 36,935 total copies of Replicate, which we will use to create 21,678 copies of Citywatch Sphinx, and 15,257 copies of Gyre Engineer, which will bring us to 61,591 green mana, 15,387 blue mana, and 38 red mana. Next we cast:
L - Switcheroo - 61591G, 15382U, 39R - 53 storm
L - Gravitic Punch - 61591G, 15379U, 39R - 54 storm
L - Disdainful Stroke - 61591G, 15377U, 40R - 55 storm
L - Act of Treason - 62491G, 15600U, 40R - 56 storm
L - Stony Strength - 63406G, 15829U, 41R - 57 storm
L - Act of Treason - 64338G, 16060U, 41R - 58 storm
We next cast Kaya's Ghostform on the nontoken Citywatch Sphinx, and cast a Cleansing Nova from our hand, choosing creatures. We get 4 TYS triggers; we resolve the first getting 59 copies of Cleansing Nova. We resolve the first one, and destroy all creatures.
This destroys all 21,679 copies of Citywatch Sphinx, triggering Kaya's Ghostform and 21,679 instances of surveil 2. We resolve the Kaya's Ghostform first, bringing Citywatch Sphinx back to the battlefield. We will then resolve the 21,679 instances of surveil 2; the first 21,678 will mill Gaea's Blessing, causing us to reshuffle the graveyard into the library. This will allow us to cast our instants many times. We will cast 21,677 copies of Stony Strength, and 21,330 copies of Repudiate. Three of those copies of Repudiate will counter the remaining three TYS triggers for Cleansing Nova; the remainder can counter TYS copies of Stony Strength. We will also cast 59 copies of Disdainful Stroke, to counter the remaining 59 copies of Cleansing Nova on the stack. Finally, before the last 21 reshuffles, we will cast Repeated Reverberation each time right after the previous reshuffle, and hold the TYS and RR triggers for it until right before the next reshuffle. We will also Disdainful Stroke each of the original Repeated Reverberations.
Before the last reshuffle, we will have increased our storm count to 43170, and have about 361.63 billion Repeated Reverberation copies just resolved. We will have 1 green mana and 15858 blue mana remaining.
The last reshuffle will shuffle are graveyard into our library, and the last surveil will then mill Kaya's Ghostform and The Antiquties War.
We then play Militia Bugler, which will fetch Gyre Engineer from the library, which we play again. We also play Tragic Poet.
We cast Replicate, which gets about 723.27 billion copies. We create 309.97 billion copies of Gye Engineer, 413.3 billion copies of Citywatch Sphinx, and 1 copy of Tragic Poet. We sacrifice both copies of Tragic Poet to fetch Kaya's Ghostform and The Antiquities War from the graveyard, and we cast Kaya's Ghostform on the nontoken Citywatch Sphinx again. We activate Karn to animate Manifold Key, and cast
L - Switcheroo - 0R - 43171 storm
L - Disdainful Stroke - 0R - 43172 storm
L - Stony Strength (on Manifold Key) - 172693R - 43173 storm
L - Gravitic Punch - 172692R - 43174 storm
L - Repeated Reverberation 172690R - 43175 storm
L - Act of Treason (on Manifold Key) - 690796R - 43176 storm
Next, we cast Cleansing Nova, choosing creatures again. We resolve a TYS trigger, getting 43177 copies, and resolve a copy of Cleansing Nova. This destroys our Citywatch Sphinxes (the original comes back), getting us 413.3 billion reshuffles. Each reshuffle we cast Stony Strength on Citywatch Sphinx and Repudiate on a TYS trigger for Stony Strength, bumping our storm count to 826.6 billion. Before the last 345,398 reshuffles, we will cast Repeated Reverberation and Disdainful Stroke it. We get the same chaining effect as before, and after the last Repeated Reverberation triggers resolve, we will get about 4.762 * 10^103987 copies of Repeated Reverberation.
We play Evolution Sage, and Replicate 9.524 * 10^103987 copies of it. We play Wayward Swordtooth, and then Emergence Zone, triggering all 9.524 * 10^103987 Evolution Sages. We respond to the triggers by sacrificing Emergence Zone, giving all our spells flash.
10^10^5 or so is certainly a lot smaller than we were entering the stage with when we had Nexus of fate, but we catch up before we spend any more life.
I am going to miss having all of the turns stored up though.
One other thing to possibly consider for combat is having an innately indestructible creature like drudge sentinels or Zetalpa, primal dawn wear the equipment, freeing us up to wrath mid-combat. (We still can't Purify though, so no full combat stage. Which means this probably isn't worth it)
It's really too bad that treasure tokens aren't safe. The current loop is that a creature treasure can be copied a bunch and live through a wrath, and then pay for the black card draw spell to get enough resources to animate again and make more copies. If something forced us to purify in the first few layers, they probably would be safe, but I don't see a way to force that. (if only the antiquities war stuck around doing nothing...)
Yeah, it would be really nice to have to use both Wrath Novas and Purify Novas to continue the combo, but I don't see a way.
Hmm, that scenario looked good, but when I tried to continue the combo, I ran into problems. In order to Wrath Nova again, we need to fetch Kaya's Ghostform, which means we need to bring in Teshar, to either fetch Tragic Poet, or fetch Militia Bugler to fetch Tragic Poet. But, then when we Wrath Nova, all the creatures will go to the graveyard, and we don't have a way to fetch anything. What we would like to do is hold on to Teshar until after we Wrath Nova, but then the Citywatch Sphinx will go to the graveyard and we can't get it back.
So, I'm thinking we can only get one Wrath Nova before we proliferate. (Unless you see a way around this?) Then, after the proliferate triggers go on the stack, we can cast a second Wrath Nova, and we will have Teshar in our hand to play at the right moment. I think it will work, although of course our numbers will go down by a lot now.
Hmm, yeah the timing is not good, we only want to have Teshar in play with a reshuffle looming.
What if we played Teshar instead of militia bugler first? That way we have the bugler in hand to fetch Teshar with later. We can save playing Karn until after Teshar as the historic spell.
Oh, with the storm count this low at the start, we can stack the RR draws from Gaea's blessing first to increase the storm for the TYS trigger for Gaea's Blessing, and not worry much about decking.
Edit:
We have 14 cards that are in play, in exile, or otherwise not drawable, they are:
Leyline
Leyline
Leyline
Llanowar Elf
Breeding Pool
Plains
Emergency powers (exiled)
Kykar
Samut
Mox amber
Gyre engineer
Precognition field
Thousand-year storm
Gaea’s Blessing (can’t draw)
Thus we should get the storm count to make 46 copies of Gaea’s Blessing but no more.
Looks like we can get to ~ 19389RRs with 1287G,327U,21R floating, 47 storm, and an empty graveyard and 1 card deck with that line.
There is a bit of a tradeoff, I think actually optimally we slot the TYS trigger for Gaea's blessing on top of 2 or so of the Repeated reverberations, so we don't have to slow down to not deck. But I haven't worked it out yet, it looks like +4 or so red can be saved like that.
Edit: without Nexus of fate, red mana is more expensive than blue. one of the Act of treason should maybe go back to Replicate?
Oh I see, hmm, yeah blue mana is a bit tighter at the start, and its not worth switching to add another Stony strength they way some of our earlier lines were able to use.
Edit: I have the updated pre-landfall line in the google doc if you want to look over it and see if there are any errors or to make any of the estimates more exact. The Repeated Reverberations get pretty damn strong! and I have storm at around 3 trillion, but with 2^630000 landfall triggers, so we aren't starting nearly as far behind the ministage starts as I had initially thought.
Key improvements over the line in your post: Getting the whole deck into hand with the TYS trigger (except for Gaea's Blessing). Making more initial red when Kykar is still in play. Sneaking a couple more Repeated reverberations in for value. Increasing the sphinx:gyre engineer ratio to more heavily use Stony strength for storm (might not actually be better?). And the Teshar/Militia Bugler swap to allow the line to actually continue into the main combo.
Edit: ok I've gone through to the end, but haven't included all of the optimizations, like the Saheeli making Azor's gateway a Dowsing dagger trick, or the effects of the extra creature fetchers. I currently count a total of 21 Sanctum of the sun taps which brings us to 5->X->21->12. Where that X is gonna be something like 5->Z->3->12.
Feel free to comment or edit if you notice anything amiss. I'd like to get it finalized before we get too many Eldrane spoilers.
You are right, there are 20. I double counted Saheeli.
Edit: oops the decklist was 61 cards, I cut a connive//concoct.
Edit2: changed the 'small' example to a full resolution of 2 storm 6 mana.
I'm not exactly sure how to post the writeup? I don't have a blog to throw this on, and its pretty long to just cut up across several reddit posts. It's probably too niche to get put on any of the main sites. (though Frank Karsten does so some wacky magic math articles...)
I have accounts on Googles sites (where I currently have my unfinished writeup of the megastage Vintage deck) and Wordpress, so we could stick it on one of those, if you don't want to get your own account. Perhaps we could convert it into a nice HTML document, with card images?
I think that's what I was missing. It is that the setup lets us get a bunch of free things, and we want to use those to iterate the most powerful resources possible. Additional creature fetcher are iterations instead of multiplication like repeated reverberation, because we still have the "original" blood for bones waiting, and we are maximizing the storm count there. Whereas activating Sarkhan with more RRs still uses up the one free activation.
Thanks for explaining.
Hmm, but won't Herald of faith kill them? If we wrath we also kill whatever is wearing the daggers.
we would need like Emergent Growth to make them block
Maybe March of the Multitudes or something for lifelink?
Swathcutter Giant also has a better attack trigger.
Drakuseth, maw of flames can kill our Sarkhan. So can Raging Regisaur
Edit: hmm probably only drakuseth or Raging Regisaur with be worth it because an extra Sarkhan is so much better than a squad of swathcutters that we can't combo out in between, because we need to actually hit with the daggers.
Emergent Growth also damages their dinos too, and get lifegain triggers that we can put under the transform triggers and let us start to wrath after transforming the artifacts.
I guess if we save Bankrupt in blood can draw Blood for bones enough if we save it from the last copy of Gaea's blessing. So it looks not as awkward as I initially thought.
And yeah this is all after activating sarkhan the first time, so the Emergent Growth is a lot less effective.
We'll have to check to make sure.
as for the alternate starts, the CMC1 cards look pretty anemic, there's not much we want in there:
Dead weight lets us kill small creatures, but not the creatures we currently want to kill.
Slash of Talons lets us mess with combat more.
Neither one of those seem very useful.
Without a ministage, karn looks worse, but he does let us already have an animated key, saving us 2 landfall triggers ... yeah that's not very much. I guess it depends on if we want a ministage?
Full analysis of the Manifold Key version:

L - Repeated Reverberation - 14G,4U,4R, 9 storm
L - Gaea's Blessing - 12G,4U,5R, 10 storm
We get a TYS trigger to draw 10 cards with Gaea's Blessing, and 10 Repeated Reverberation triggers to draw 2 cards and reshuffle 6 cards each. So we draw 30 cards total.
There are 47 cards left that are not in play or exile. We don't need to draw:
1 Azor's Gateway
2 Mishra's Self-Replicator
3 Sarkhan, Dragonsoul
4 Dreadmalkin
5 Imperial Ceratops
6 Dowsing Dagger
7 Switcheroo
8 Angel of Vitality

(maybe wrathing before animating the key is good?)
The red mana on the other hand looks like more of a bottleneck that I'd expected. Losing Nexus of fate really hurts early.
Addendum Kykar - GG, 6 cards
Stony Strength - 5G,R, 5 cards, 2 storm

6 Tragic Poet
7 Citywatch Sphinx
8 Kaya's Ghostform

20 Cleansing Nova
21 Cleansing Nova
22 World Shaper
23 Wayward Swordtooth
24 Evolution Sage
and the remaining 6 draws can be of Repeated Reverberation.
What if we played Teshar instead of militia bugler first? That way we have the bugler in hand to fetch Teshar with later. We can save playing Karn until after Teshar as the historic spell.
I think that works?
Edit: Teshar not Kykar
Edit:
We have 14 cards that are in play, in exile, or otherwise not drawable, they are:
Leyline
Leyline
Leyline
Llanowar Elf
Breeding Pool
Plains
Emergency powers (exiled)
Kykar
Samut
Mox amber
Gyre engineer
Precognition field
Thousand-year storm
Gaea’s Blessing (can’t draw)
Thus we should get the storm count to make 46 copies of Gaea’s Blessing but no more.
Looks like we can get to ~ 19389RRs with 1287G,327U,21R floating, 47 storm, and an empty graveyard and 1 card deck with that line.
(I think Red mana is miscounted in your line?)
Edit: without Nexus of fate, red mana is more expensive than blue. one of the Act of treason should maybe go back to Replicate?
I'll try to work out more exact numbers later.
Hmm, are there 21 Sanctum of the Suns? I counted 19, leading to 10 -> X -> 20 -> 12. (21 Sanctum of the Suns would get us to 10 -> X -> 22 -> 12.)
Edit: I guess there are 20, which would lead to 10 -> X -> 21 -> 12.
Edit: Oh, you've added images already.
Good idea putting it on a google sites or wordpress account. I'll look into that.
Edit: I don't want to get stuck reformatting everything again, so I'm currently leaning towards just posting a comment or view only link to the gdoc.
