So, for combat damage, we can make use of both planeswalkers and the opponent. With 24 damage to deal, we can do one of two things: we can have 9 proliferaters attack the opponent, and 3 attack Gideon. Then we would need to kill off the Goring Ceratops, since we have nowhere for its damage to go, without killing off the other attackers. Another way is to donate two planeswalkers to the opponent, so that Goring Ceratops can target the second planeswalker. That doesn't seem to be impossible, if we go back to Role Reversal: We destroy a Baffling End with a Purity Nova, cast Role Reversal, use one copy to switch the new creature with Gideon, and use another copy to switch Gideon with another planeswalker. Then we destroy Baffling End again, and cast Role Reversal to switch Gideon with the new creature.
Edit: Hmm, we could potentially get one more proliferator with Lazav, the Multifarious, and four more with Metamorphic Alteration. So that's a potential 272 red mana from the combat phase. That's really going to put a strain on are card slots though.
Hmm I worry about baffling end. I’m worried we can break it some how. If we donate packbeast and then baffling end it, don’t we get another etb getting mox back(when a purity nova resolves)? I think the timing works to make it happen this way. It may not be a big deal as we are limited on poets to make this happen but it would seem that we can get both our mox retriever and the mox back with only 1 nova(on purity mode) resolution. This feels like it’s an issue but I don’t know the intricacies of the stage well enough to know if it’s a major problem.
Okay, it wasn't looking like I could fit all the new proliferators in, but then I noticed that, with Goring Ceratops, our proliferate cards used up CMCS 2,3,5,6, and 7. Along with our CMC 1 cards from our main combo, that leaves only CMC 0,4,8 for artifacts, not enough. So we have to get rid of one of the CMCs from our proliferators. It looks like giving up CMC 5 is the least costly, that eliminates the extra The Mending of Dominarias, but those are weaker than Fall of the Thran anyway.
With the TMoDs removed, it looks like all the creatures will fit:
We just got a cmc 3 double strike source in Uncaged Fury.
Edit: Looking a bit I couldn't find anything obviously problematic with lazav in the core stage combo. However I did notice that Mishras's self replicator is a problem with Lazav. as it lets lazav make a copy of himself and then legend rule himself repeatedly to get more surveils and reshuffles. Fortunately there are other 5 mana artifacts.
Ah, very nice new card! The +1/+1 is a bit of a nuisance though, the extra damage will require adding several more planeswalkers I think. Unless, we find a way to reduce the power of our attackers. Massacre Girl seems in danger of going infinite. For Mephitic Vapors, we will have trouble countering all of its copies; I guess we can just cast it while TYS is off the battlefield. But, for now I will add Fungal Infection, which we can use to target our attackers once, and then the remaining copies can destroy whatever. We could also donate a copy of Azorious Skyguard to the opponent, I suppose.
Edit: Hmmm, it occurs to me that we can theoretically exile Karn, the Great Creator. After we exile our four other artifacts to Azor's Gateway, we can activate Karn to bring back Mox Amber. We respond by destroying and reshuffling Karn (we can cast a Banefire to destroy Karn, then play a The Mending of Dominaria to reshuffle the graveyard into the library), and then tapping Azor's Gateway to draw and exile Karn. This causes Azor's Gateway to transform to Sanctum of the Sun, and then we resolve Karn's ability to bring back Mox Amber. So I think we can do this.
Of course, Karn has CMC 4, so it conflicts with Helm of the Host. But, I think it makes sense now to go away from Helm of the Host, since then we could add 4 Smothering Tithes and an Unmoored Ego for 204 more red mana.
Fungal infection can kill our findbroker so it looks risky, but I think it is actually safe because it costs black which we are even more limited on than red.
Edit2: I feel like we are close to having enough tools to get another stage in here, If only we had the inverse of Flame Sweep.
I think I went down this line before but Take Vengance only targets tapped creatures. So rewinding back to the version with Quasiduplicate and Elephant, If our only way to tap Excavation Elephant is Gravewalker we don't get extra EE triggers with it. However, we can get extra ETB/dies triggers from other creatures such as Citywatch sphinx. But this is still gated on white mana so its not worth a stage.
Looks like the mana rock is a man-alith. I doubt they will also have signets or mono color rocks.
Yeah that list looks right, we can exile lands but mox amber is already a zero.
Edit: Fry is so close to what we needed, but it can also hit the elephant.
Edit2: Leyline of abundance also seems like it enables another start:
turn 1 leyline, breeding pool, elf
turn 2 sulfur falls, Marwyn, elf
turn 3 sulfur falls, 2+2+3+3=10 Omniscience with 1 card left in hand. Emergency powers
Hmm, that new start is interesting. It eliminates Gift of Growth, so we could for instance animate our lands. But, without Quasiduplicate, that doesn't seem to be all that major of an advantage. And if we eliminate Gift of Growth, we will have some mana problems - I think we will need at least 3 Gyre Engineers to cast Omniscience, so that will leave us with fewer exilable cards, I think. Still, something to keep in mind.
So, the problem with those first three reshuffle options is how to reshuffle them when they go to the graveyard. But, I guess we can just have two, or one each of two different cards.
Having a cheap way to counter would also eliminate draw cards like Honor the God-Pharaoh, since we would be able to reshuffle as part of our stage. That kind of hurts, since we get a couple of layers from drawing. But, maybe we can come up with a way to make up for it.
Being able to return our instants/sorceries would also eliminate the need to draw. Spellkeeper Weird looks like it goes infinite with an instant/sorcery that can retrieve creatures from the graveyard. The other two are possibilities, although Ghitu Chronicler looks like it gives up red mana for too little maybe.
Devious cover-up can have the original negated and then have a copy shuffle itself back in. Loaming shaman can be fetched with Finale. and The Mending we can get back with tragic poets.
Just so I am understanding how additional stages should feed into each other, theoretically. The existing stage combo also outputs lots of excess blue/green mana. If there was a stage combo that takes in blue (making on the order of that many layers) and outputs just storm, that would work correct?
Edit: Unfortunately no, I do not have such a combo already.
Hmm, Honor the God-Pharoah can draw our cards, but we need to get it in our hand first. So we can have Emergency Powers put it in our hand. Then, whenever we need to clear the stack, we can end the combo with Honor the God-Pharoah in our hand. So, in principle, it shoule be okay.
Actually, no; we can have Ionize counter Honor the God-Pharaoh while there are all the TYS copies on the stack. Then, each of those TYS copies can draw HtGP, and then we can cast HtGP to get more TYS copies. So we get two layers for HtGP.
Ok, so the Leyline start after Emergency powers can be something like
Emergence Zone
Thousand Year Storm
Precognition Field
The Mending of Dominaria
Samut, the haste granter
Nova
Teferi, drawing something like Mox/Locket/Angrath's Rampage?
The Mending returns Gyre Engineer
Cast Adventurous Impulse off the top for a piddly 2 storm count.
Get things
Cast Reduplicate for 3 more Gyre Engineers?
So, I'm thinking Devious Cover-Up, Disdainful Stroke, and Gift of Growth go infinite, since we can cast GoG for the necessary mana, cast DCU, counter the original with DS, then have a copy of DCU counter something and reshuffle the graveyard into the library, where we can repeat.
We could also try Loaming Shaman, but I'm thinking that's not enough, at least with Finale of Devastation. The problem is that Finale of Devastation puts creatures onto the battlefield. We need to have Tragic Poets on the battlefield, so we have to cast FoD after a Wrath Nova, and before we resolve a Purity Nova. So we put our three Tragic Poets on the battlefield with our FoD, along with our mana creatures and Loaming Shaman. This causes a reshuffle. We then resolve a Purify Nova, destroying our enchantments and artifacts. We can sacrifice some Poets to bring our enchantments back. Then we cast FoD again, bringing back our Poets and also Golgari Findbroker, which brings back our Mox Amber, which we tap. Then we resolve another Purify Nova, and we can tap our Tragic Poets to bring back our enchantments again. Then we cast a Wrath Nova. Oh, but we already cast our FoD, so we don't have a way to bring back the Shaman, and we need to have the Shaman to reshuffle. It can probably work with Adventurous Impulse, but that would require another card to give our Tragic Poets haste. So adding one Loaming Shaman is not quite enough.
Is there another single card that we can add to get us enough reshuffles? The Mending of Dominaria requires proliferates to reshuffle, and Wand of Vertabrae requires adding cards that will allow us to make copies.
I also haven't checked the original deck thoroughly, to see if our stage sequence actually works; I should get around to that.
Edit: Oh, I found a nice card: Repeated Reverberation, which will get us many copies of our instants, sorceries, and loyalty abilities. The last one is especially intriguing; if we add a Planeswalker that has a loyalty ability that can gain a lot of life, we can add another layer. We can use Banefire to recycle the Planeswalker (sadly, only once per cast, due to loyalty restrictions).
So, we could add Huatli, the Sun's Heart, for instance; I don't think we need Bolt Bend to retarget, since I think Repeated Reverberation sets up a delayed triggered ability, and we have to resolve that trigger to actually get the copy of the ability and thus the target. That seems better than Ajani, Wise Counselor, which requires a token creator to work.
Having to use loyalty abilities in the main combo means that it won't work with Teferi or proliferate triggers on the stack. So we will wind up with something like 3 -> 3 -> 33 -> 7 - still a major improvement.
Edit: What am I saying, Huatli doesn't target; even better.
Edit: So, the best thing to do with our extra slots seems to be the four Smothering Tithes and Unmoored Ego. We can add a little more mana with Dowsing Dagger and Hadana's Climb, bumping us up to 208 red mana. We can couple that with a bunch of ways to gain more life per red mana. We can add Ajani, Wise Counselor and Ajani, Strength of the Pride, along with a way to get a lot of creature tokens (Saproling Migration will do). Adding Oath of Teferi will double our number of loyalty activations, up to 6. Then, we can add Vraska, Golgari Queen to sacrifice the Planeswalkers and redraw them again, twice. (Unfortunately, since we can now gain life with our Planeswalkers, we can no longer have both Vraska and Ugin.) That bumps our number of activations up to 18. So we get 209 * 18 = 3762 big life gains, so we get to a TYS count of about 3 -> 3 -> 3762 -> 6 before we start creating Sanctum of the Suns. This is more than 2 -> 11 -> 2 -> 7, and each of the 30 Sanctum of the Suns bumps up that third number by 1, so we wind up with more than 2 -> 11 -> 32 -> 7.
Next up, I would like to do the same proliferate thing we did with the previous version, but unfortunately, we can't activate our loyalty abilities during combat. What I would like is to hold over our mana until after combat, but sadly, both of the cards that I found that could do that are red legendaries. What we could do is add in Sun-Crowned Hunters and Gideon Blackblade so that we could preserve the previous life gain combo - but that is a layer less, and in addition, if we try to run the combo during the combat damage step, we'll lose either Dowsing Dagger or Lost Vale (same with Hadana's Climb), and that four mana after combat is actually worth a lot more than the couple hundred mana that we might gain during combat. So I don't see how to gain anything with combat proliferates. Perhaps there is something else we could do with proliferate?
Then, I used some card slots for Dagger Caster, which can gain a lot of life with Bond of Discipline and Dowsing Dagger creating a lot of opponent tokens. I added Elenda, the Dusk Rose and Switcheroo to make things easier, although perhaps it doesn't add that much. Then I just added some extra reshuffling to pump up our early TYS count.
Tilonalli's Skinshifter is nice, gets us up to 12 proliferaters.
Lazav, the Multifarious surveils on etb so there might be a problem with that, though without quasiduplicate it might be ok.
Hmm, if Lazav is safe there might be other ETB creatures that are safe now...

Edit2: I feel like we are close to having enough tools to get another stage in here, If only we had the inverse of Flame Sweep.

Llanowar Elves
Marwyn, the Nurturer
Giant Growth
Gideon Blackblade
Fall of the Thran
Guildpact Informant
Baffling End
Role Reversal
Karn, the Great Creator
Does anyone see anything else that we could potentially exile, or can any of the above cards actually not be exiled?
Yeah that list looks right, we can exile lands but mox amber is already a zero.
Edit: Fry is so close to what we needed, but it can also hit the elephant.
Edit2: Leyline of abundance also seems like it enables another start:
turn 1 leyline, breeding pool, elf

Hmm, that new start is interesting. It eliminates Gift of Growth, so we could for instance animate our lands. But, without Quasiduplicate, that doesn't seem to be all that major of an advantage. And if we eliminate Gift of Growth, we will have some mana problems - I think we will need at least 3 Gyre Engineers to cast Omniscience, so that will leave us with fewer exilable cards, I think. Still, something to keep in mind.
I think there may be a way to restructure to use negate and spend life on making untapped shocklands instead.
Edit: Or, we could not reshuffle and return our instants and sorceries with Ghitu Chronicler, Spellkeeper weird or The Mirari Conjecture
Having a cheap way to counter would also eliminate draw cards like Honor the God-Pharaoh, since we would be able to reshuffle as part of our stage. That kind of hurts, since we get a couple of layers from drawing. But, maybe we can come up with a way to make up for it.

Edit: Unfortunately no, I do not have such a combo already.
Hmm, if we can take out Gaea's Blessing and The Mending of Dominaria, and add just one reshuffler, that could make our current deck more efficient. Can adding Devious Cover-Up or Loaming Shaman work by themselves?
Of course, adding another stage would take priority, that would be awesome.
Emergence Zone
Thousand Year Storm
Precognition Field
The Mending of Dominaria
Samut, the haste granter
Nova
Teferi, drawing something like Mox/Locket/Angrath's Rampage?
The Mending returns Gyre Engineer
Cast Adventurous Impulse off the top for a piddly 2 storm count.
Get things
Cast Reduplicate for 3 more Gyre Engineers?
