Hey guys long time player, new to the thread, anyways I have a research paper due and wanted to do it on How do spoilers affect the collectible card game called Magic The Gathering? any thoughts or opinions would be awesome.
They allow players to plan, refine and test decks before the cards become legal for tournament play.
They allow sellers to pre-sell cards at amounts usually far more than what the card will be worth. (Sometimes for less though.)
They influence the prices of cards already printed if they either are strictly "better" than a previous iteration, or if they synergize with other cards in print.
They make you happy if you see artwork, power, flavor or card types that you want to see more of.
