I'm sorry if there are already heaps of posts on this - I did go through but couldn't any information specifically on what i'm looking for.
Have any of you heard of or seen acrylic inserts for storing MTG cards, that go into Ikea Alex drawers? I found this photo online (attached) and i think it would be perfect for storing and help locating cards, but I couldnt find the origin of the photo. The photo looks like the inserts are cardboard but i think plastic would be heaps more sturdy. It's just very tidy looking and the alex drawers are reasonably cheap too.
If not, do any of you have any advice for how to store cards, other than those cardboard boxes which we already have heaps of? Preferably, acrylic inserts that you can put into drawers?
I'm doing this for my partner. He has soooo many thousands of cards and not only is it taking over the house, but he struggles to find certain cards that he needs so its just not a very convenient situation for either of us haha. I thought maybe this could be part of his Christmas present.
I remember seeing this too. I only ever saw it on Pinterest though.
You likely would need to have the dividers custom cut at a place like TAP Plastics or similar. I recall looking at the IKEA Alex drawers a while back but I was largely unsatisfied by the bottom drawers.
It's hard to tell in this photo but the Alex drawers on the bottom are taller than the top most drawers. So the bottom drawers would have to have inserts made or you'll need to pop the boxes in the bottom.
