Any number of suggestions! Infinite damage combos like Krark-Clan Ironworks, mill, infinite turns, mindslaver, "you win the game" effects, or you can use a UW-x control deck to remove or counter the bigger creatures and either counter the Fogs or attack with finishers each turn so he'll run out of Fogs trying to survive. I can't imagine a deck like "big creatures and fog" getting away with such a silly strategy.

A strategy that works against itself? Easy, just play kill spells. Or burn. Or be more aggressive.
He can fog all he wants, he'll just run out of them. Normally fog decks are just stalling, not protecting big fat creatures which actually doesn't care about being defensive.
Are you playing a format like Standard or Modern, or casual/anything goes?
How about mono red burn? If your deck is fast enough, you can win the game before his big stuff gets out. And you can play "damage can't be prevented spells" like Skullcrack if he relies too heavily on Fog.
Or just play more "hard" removal, like Doom Blade.
Because you didn't include your decklist I'm going to assume you don't want advice on how to play but instead want new decks to pilot.
Assuming you're playing casual and want relatively cheap builds, you have a bunch of options:
You could try grabbing some cheap unblockable creatures, some counterspells, some kill spells & something to draw extra cards. I'd recommend building this in UB or maybe UW.
Counter or kill the big creatures, chip away with your unblockable finishers. Your friend won't want to fog because you're only doing a little damage a turn. If your friend has lots of copies of the same card consider something like Counterbore.
You could also go for the ruder option of using spells like Control Magic and using your friend's big creatures to win. Get some counterspells for the fogs and things with Shroud or Hexproof, some extra card draw so can be sure you have your answers, and a bunch of control-auras. Mono-blue is probably the best colour for this, because it has all of the pieces.
A third option is burn; just filling a deck with Lightning Bolt type cards. Because bolts don't do combat damage your friend can't fog them. This type of deck works best in mono-red, but I used to play a Red & Blue build which was less efficient at single opponent damage and better at big multiplayer games.
A fourth choice is making a dedicated mill deck and winning by putting all of your friend's cards into their graveyard.
A fifth one is to add reanimator to options 1 or 4, so when your friend's big creatures die or are milled you can use them.
A sixth option is a true combo deck, which wins without really engaging with your opponent's deck at all. My old multi-player burn deck used Izzet Guildmage, Desperate Ritual and Lava Spike to deal basically infinite damage when games were going too long.
Good luck, and remember you always have options!

nahh but in general mahh dude new players their playgroups i think suffer from a a lack of using removal spells
in mtg always assume your oponents creatures are stronger than yours, so having a removal spell basically means no matter what they play, you always play a better creature by destroying their better creature and opening the way for attacks and getting rid of huge threats
basically its probably not his deck which is too strong, its your playgroups meta simply not catching up yet with the evolving of strength of deckbrewing played there.
i dunno what these other guys are suggesting honestly but basically any killspell works. dominaria has some 4 mana killspells if you want even. not as efficient but still gets the job done.
i suggest putting around 6-8 spells in your decks that remove creatures. this is essential in absically any deck
and remember, if he adapts back at the killspells by adding indestructible, use exile spells and cant attack or block spells
hexproof? magic has cards that cover that too. he can't outrun removal trust me.
You need spells that remove your opponent's creatures. You can bounce them back to their hand, kill them outright, permanently stop them from attacking or blocking, or exile them. You could also start using land destruction spells to destroy his ability to summon big creatures. You could also run a deck with lots of burn spells. You could also run a blue deck filled to the brim with counter spells.
All of the above are good suggestions, here is a few more:
Build a recursion deck, let him trade into deathtouching defenders, then bring them back with reanimation (and his dead creatures to), and if your graveyard gets to big, shuffle it into your library with things like Elixir of Immortality.
Another way to mess with your opponent is to do a mill strategy, counter or bounce his creatures while grinding away at his decks with cards that put cards from his library directly into his graveyard.
And then of course, there is the classic counter-bolt/counter-phoenix strategy, red burn backed up by blue counter magic.
One fun, at least for me, strategy I used against an annoying player is the discard deck. If your opponent doesn't have a hand, he can neither summon large creatures nor cast fog. Add a few cards for indirect damage like Megrim, and well, he might learn his lesson.
Another good one to stop big stompy decks protected by fogs is to make it cost a lot of mana to attack you. Things like Propaganda and similar effects will slow your opponent to a crawl. Can't really summon big dudes when it costs 10+ mana to attack with even one creature.
Also, repeatable spells are your friends: Buyback, Flashback, Embalm, Eternalize, and Unearth are all your friends. As are repeatable effects. Spot removal is also of a high priority. Everything from Ixalan's Binding to Terror and everything in between will help you.
