There are several YouTubers to watch. Glean what you can from them. Just remember many are in it for themselves, so take what they say with a grain of salt. Don't worry about netdecking. Find what you like that way and then tailor it to your needs.
Get your affairs in order, make amends to steer the ship right, get off house arrest and then find yourself a local game store where you can learn more and find others to play with/against. In the meantime there is Magic Online. 10 bucks can get you started and free cards can be had to get you going playing casual Pauper. Just a thought. Good luck and I'll let others throw in their 2 cents.

Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.

I watch a lot of other random channels and streams on a whim but those are ones I will reliably end up watching, who knows if its just youtube's algorithm. I would avoid the drama channels and focus on the game. There is a lot of youtube drama for the hits, best to avoid it and enjoy the game.
If you have a lot of time on your hands I recommend podcasts as well, it's a good way to do productive things like exercise or cleaning whilst still taking in content, and a lot of youtube channels also off a podcast. I used to listen to a lot more but mtg podcasts seem to come and go all too quickly:
Magic the Gathering: Drive to Work
The Third Power
No idea on your situation but I hope you sort things out, we all f- up occasionally.
I'm looking for suggestions that meet the following:
Written entries, neither videos nor podcasts unless those are MTGO playthroughs.
No affiliation at all with store sites or any lucrative activity that could be driving what they declare.
The more Modern the better.

wat?
What's wrong with videos and podcasts (and why the caveat for MTGO)?
And what's wrong with sponsorship? I mean, yes, having 5 minutes of marshal repeating the same crap about cfb and patreon at the top of every LR episode is boring, but how exactly would it be "driving what they declare"? Like someone is going to overrate X archetype because their sponsor is trying to unload a bunch of those cards or something? Seems far-fetched. People need money to spend time making quality content. If you want unsponsored stuff, there's probably lots of unsponsored set reviews made by random scrubs with little pro experience. If you want the opinion of a pro, they're probably going to be sponsored.
cool il check these people/podcast out. i think your worth following tbuzz lol. hey i do lots of things on house arrest. read go to school, clean work out, magic dosen't take up all my time. well lately it has. im just tryna catch up.
