it absolutely makes no sense even if juggernaut(not even juggernaught wtf?) originated from dominaria!
it is a horrible card especially since less than 1% of creatures are walls these days. let alone people using them.
i mean at least errata it to be unblockable vs defender creatures or something!! or since changing paper cards is hard, replace it with another card that is the the same thing exept is can't be blocked creatures with defender and isn't called juggernaut
on top of that it is all round a horrible card! if it would only not be forced o attack each turn i would have been fine with it.
and this in a set that has a 5/4 for GGG that actually has a positive effect that does something. (yes yes i know, colorless vs green... but srsly every color has something better to offer than this)
i didn't like this card when i first got it from my very first starterkit and i don't like it now
It's 5 power for 4. It is an uncommon. It's not meant to be a money card, it's a random midrange beater for Limited. Not as though you're going to open them in a mythic rare slot - what even is the point at getting angry at one uncommon inclusion that hasn't fully kept pace with creature power creep but that can still hang in Limited?
You are not getting a 5/3 for four mana with upside in every color. If you draft Dominaria, at some point Juggernaut's going to have some use. The evasion ability is mostly fun trinket text but there are Walls in the set.
i find siege-gang fine, technically 5 power n toughness for 5 and an extra. probably will put it into a random red/monored brew. serra im skeptical about. I mean there are so many better cards now even in this set though admittedly at much higher rarity. + it already had so many reprints, does it really need more?
juggernaut imo is a 5/3 for 4 with the horrible downside of losing it garuanteed the moment an oponent has a expendable creature with power 3 or more. and 1% chance to have less trouble with blockers.
well after looking at mine a bit longer though... you know if it were common i would be completely fine with it. it's not complete trash but i wouldn't enjoy finding one in an uncommon slot. especially in a set that has amazing uncommons. but as far as i know most juggernauts are uncommons
(edit) you know what reprint would get me on tilt though? tyrant's machine
Lol. I remember putting an Invisibility on Juggernaut and going to town, only to have my opponent cast control magic and kill me with my own juggernaut.
Magic players complaining about one reprint in the uncommon slot? Is this the new meta now that complaining about Rare and Mythic slots are old news and tired now?
It's a strict nostalgia reprint, a return to Dominaria was always going to have cards that no longer kept up but were a blast from the past, and it's an uncommon. If we don't get another acceptable uncommon in this set, it will already be above average at that rarity. Some of the cards in any set are going to be worthless chaff, it might as well be useless chaff that people remember fondly.
I'm still expecting Shivan Dragon, I just hope it isn't rare.

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
In general for Limited a 4 mana 5/3 is reasonable and can deal quite some damage or get double blocked, you pretty much kill something for sure with 5 power.
----
Unblockable would be just stupid and the text book definition of extremely NOT fun.
For anything that is about constructed this card is simply meaningless by now.
or since changing paper cards is hard, replace it with another card that is the the same thing exept is can't be blocked creatures with defender and isn't called juggernaut
That defeats the purpose of reprinting a nostalgia card.
on top of that it is all round a horrible card! if it would only not be forced o attack each turn i would have been fine with it.
Well then don't play with it? I mean you do realize there are cards in this set whose sole purpose is to tell new players that the card sucks and other cards a better, right? This is literally the reason Tolarian Scholar is in the set.

Steel Leaf Champion gets to have a lot of upsides because casting a spell for is waaaay more difficult than casting a spell for . Steal Leaf Champion can really only go into Gren Decks. Juggernaut can go into any deck.

Juggs has been smashing face for a cheap 4 colorless mana in my MTG playgroup since 1994. I welcome his return and smashed face with him again during this last weekend's pre-release.
This is one of the silliest threads I've ever seen. It's an uncommon with a lot of nostalgia value, and a potential pick 1 in limited. How could that elicit anger? It makes no sense. Go home, OP. You're drunk.

"Even if it originated in Dominaria" I'm gonna stop you right there. An iconic dominarian artifact creature from Alpha is literally something that most people would be upset not appearing in this set considering it's real world significance (it's not like it has a whole creature type named after it or anything) and Dominaria's hero's' relationship with artifacts (which is literally in this printing's flavor text).

"Pop in, find a dragon, roast a dragon."

"Juggernaut" is an actual word, derived from one of the names for the Hindu god Krishna in Sanskrit (the literal translation of the Sanskrit word is "world-lord"). The English loanword started as an allegorical reference to the Hindu temple cars of Jagannath Temple, about which there were aprocryphal stories of worshipers being crushed under their wheels.
"Juggernaught" is not a real word, and appears to simply be an attempt to apply the spelling of "naught" (zero) to a part of a word that would be a homonym on its own.
\"Juggernaught" is not a real word, and appears to simply be an attempt to apply the spelling of "naught" (zero) to a part of a word that would be a homonym on its own.
Etymology time: This misspelling seems to have come by analogy with Dreadnought, itself initially the name of a famous warship and later a class of similar ships. The name "Dreadnought" is just "dread nought"; i.e. "doesn't fear anything."
A 5 power for four generic mana that forces your opponent to completely rethink their aggro/blocking strategy is an upside if you ask me. It truly puts them on the defensive.
You won't find many of those around without some sort of fangled drawback or costing more.

Even today, it's a solid creature in limited, because any deck can run it well, no matter what your build or color.

No, it makes a lot of sense to be on Dominaria.
It is actually decent to good in limited.
Unblockable would be terribly broken. If they errataed it to Defender, they may as well have printed a different card.
That defeats the purpose of reprinting a nostalgia card.
