MTG Salvation

I was thinking of all the "best" creatures at different power/toughness levels (0/1, 1/1, 1/2, 2/1, etc.) and I came to 2/3 and I couldn't think of a single creature to fit this criteria.

What do you guys think the best "2/3" creature is in Magic History?

From a competitve perspective Drana, Liberator of Malakir, Liliana, Heretical Healer, Vampire Nighthawk, Scaleguard Sentinels, are the ones that really stand out for me. Oh, and Goyf...

All in all, taking into account its impact, its utility and lasting impression upon me, i will go for the Nighthawk, because just like ultrex, we deserve it.

Well let's see. There's Nightveil Specter, Magus of the Future, Liliana, Heretical Healer, Aven Riftwatcher, Descendant of Kiyomaro, Drana, Liberator of Malakir, Faceless Butcher, Kor Skyfisher, Old Man of the Sea, Shaman of Forgotten Ways, Trygon Predator, and Vampire Nighthawk for "good ones".

Gotta go with good 'ol Trygon Predator.

Probably Kird Ape, which was banned at one point. It's not a base 2/3, but with duals/shocks/fetches it's very easy to turn it into a 2/3.

If you only want base 2/3s, then it's quite hard to think of one. Balustrade Spy/Undercity Informer? They enable a turn 1 kill combo in Legacy.

Vampire nighthawk is the way to go

If Tarmogoyf is not the option then Kird Ape, Vampire Nighthawk close second.

You're doing it wrong if your Goyfs are 2/3, they should be 4/5 or bigger.

Being a 5/6 isn't the worst ability a 2/3 can have. >_>

Trygon Predator, although that's assuming you're looking at "cards printed with 2/3 in the lower right corner" and not any of this Tarmogoyf/Kird Ape loophole bull*****.

Prophet of Kruphix is one of the best creatures in Commander, and commonly the most targeted/stolen/copied card in multiplayer games. From the perspective of someone who plays Standard, Modern, and EDH, I'd have to say the Prophet is the 2/3 creature most likely dominate and win the game.

If we care what the bottom-right corner reads, I like Balustrade Spy. Its card text is "ETB: win the game" in the decks that want it.

Wu Elite Cavalry? Who doesn't love "horsemanship"!

Kid Ape and Tarmogoyf aren't 2/3s. Come on people...

But people have already mentioned Balustrade Spy and Undercity Informer, both cards that do actually win games in Legacy.

Stop saying Kird Ape and Tarmogoyf. Base stats of 2/3 please. Any creature can "become" 2/3.
