Not really sure how to wash/clean a playmat cause it has gotten pretty dirty over time and you know you've playing Magic enough for you to wash your playmats.

I am an Orzhovian, been playing magic since Commander 2013.
1) Fill sink w/lukewarm/hot water.
2) Put in some Woolite cleaner or some other reasonably mild cleaning product.
3) Toss in the playmat and let it sit for..as long as you want.
4) Reach in and *squeeeeeeeeeeze* it out a bunch, submerged the entire time. The water will get all grey-colored and gross. This is good.
5) Take it out and squeeze out excess, rinse off and squeeze out excess, rinse/repeat..
6) Hang it up to dry and drain the sink.
I've done this several times it has worked every time.

Mats from inkedplaymats.com are explicitly machine-washable. I stuck one of my mats in the wash with my laundry once when a friend spilled Coke all over it (the drink, not the drug ), and I'm still using the same mat. I can't speak to UltraPro's quality, but I doubt it would be a huge issue, especially if, as Sparki suggests, you get one of those "delicates bags" and/or combine it with other stuff so it's not tumbling around alone.
I have washed one of my Ultrapro Mats twice with no problems. I did use the delicates cycle and no soaking(leaving it in the water with the detergent for an extended period of time, rather than its set use).
Sorry for bringing to life this thread, byt I got some questions.
I have an Ultimate Guard white playmat, which I drew into it. It's getting dirt and was wondering how to clean it. I read putting it into water, but, that wouldn't deteriorate the rubber from the back, that makes it not to slip away?
Also, I used black permanent ink, what can I use to clean it?

The material is supposed to be similar to wet suits or... dry suits... or whatever.
Also, I used black permanent ink, what can I use to clean it?
Thanks in advance.
You mean those Sharpies? They use Isopropyl Alcohol, rubbing alcohol. The same stuff as in your medicine cabinet. Test a small area of the playmat for color steadfastness first as it's sometimes the solvent in some printable inks.
That may or may not work on some off brands or the old Sharpie formulation. I don't remember what the solvent is in those.
