The Classic Art Token Kickstarter (www.classicarttokens.com) hit a big milestone today, reaching $50,000 in funding within a week of launch.
To say the response has been overwhelming is an understatement.
We've hit 11 Stretch Goals and there is still plenty of time to reach an entirely new level of Stretch Goals than those listed on the project page.
If you haven't taken a look at the project, please do, the full set has nearly doubled in size and we added an entirely new Commander token collection.
I have some great tokens planned if we can continue to hit the Stretch Goals and I can't wait to share them with you once we do.
I have created a YouTube channel called MTGNostalgia on which I open vintage boosters and talk about the cards I find and the memories connected with them. I originally played MTG from Revised to Mirage, so I come from a "vintage" mindset, if you will.
If you enjoy vintage cards (and the stories connected to them), give it a watch!
[Video/Podcast] Legacy's Allure - Ep. 18, Lands with Jarvis Yu
New episode of Legacy's Allure! Jarvis Yu shares his knowledge and experiences playing the deck that he used to win the 2015 Legacy Grand Prix in Seattle, Lands! Really great information in this episode for newer players and veterans alike.
I've made over the years a Magic The Gathering document to remember and to learn everything there is to know about the card game. Document is up to date as of 2016-10-06
I've build the document as an image of the first "Rulebook" that MTG made online. The term Rulebook used by MTG is a little bit misleading as it was really meant to show how to play the game which is different than the Competition Rulebook which has all those technical terms.
Over the years Ive added more contents to that document, contents that I found interesting to know, that needed to be added because of all new mechanics and changes or keeping up to date what was already there.
Ive used high quality pictures and I didnt compress anything as I find this better visually and it lets the user zoom in and still be able to easily read the cards. This is why the document is as big as 200 Megs and is giving a hard time to Microsoft Word even though there arent any corruptions in the document.
The document offers now a backend on how the MTG Universe could work. WOTC has over the year release books and stories, background information on cards and rumors about details on the Multiverse of MTG.
Unfortunately, theyve left also lots of void as the game has always been base on the card game, not a Universe mechanics. From the usage of my own knowledge from reading books and searching the web for additional information, Ive made a mechanism on how I could see the MTG Multiverse work.

I really like watching pack openings and my buddy started opening packs on YouTube. If you guys are interested you should check it out and let him know what you think. Thanks (:

I've launched an Etsy shop where I sell Dry-Erase surface mtg sized cards to use for tokens, playtest, counters, lifepad, etc.
It's very new but some friends have been using them on their Legacy Twitch stream and it has generated some buzz.
Heya everyone! I just wanted to share my latest project with you which is an up and coming youtube channel dedicated entirely to MTG Misprints and Rarities! If you google search 'MTG Misprint' or any similar phrase you'll find my website as the number 1 search result. I created misprintedMTG.com to be your first source of information about MTG misprints and Rarities!
Right now on the youtube channel I've got 4 episodes up of a series called Misprint Mailbrag where I open misprints I get in the mail on camera, and talk about them! It's a rare opportunity to watch a high end misprint collect expand his collection. I plan on creating all sorts of really cool videos and show off crazy things from my collection!
MisprintedMTG.comhas articles to answer any of your misprint questions, a blog where I talk about misprint collecting, and I offer free appraisals on your cards through my contact page!
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm trying to gather ideas. I recently started streaming on Twitch, more so for video games, but I am more drawn to doing a bi-weekly content thing with M:TG that's strictly for EDH/Commander. An example being I discuss different decks, certain cards, new set releases and what goodies can be had, and even bonus content like opening sealed products. I'm just looking for suggestions on media creation (banners, etc), gear set ups (mics, headphones), and just a general guideline to follow and whether or not it would actually be a good idea.
EDIT: I know I have a hard time finishing content here, but I'll probably end up working something out like making detailed decklists to co-exist with the content I will be streaming and eventually putting on Youtube.
Hello people of the Magic community, I'm Nic from Power99, a Youtube channel starting content creation in the MTG space. I started the channel off with a weekly series called the Magic the Gathering Progression Series. For those of you who know Yu-Gi-Oh content you likely recognize the title. For those of you who don't here is the summary.
Every week myself and my friend David will open 24 free digital only packs of one MTG set and add those cards to our collections, then we will build 60 card Vintage legal decks and play a best out of 3 match. Then in the next week we repeat this, using the next set to release moving in chronological order. Every week the winner of the previous episode gets 6 extra packs to open, and the loser gets a spin on a prize wheel containing options like choosing any card from any set we've already opened, copying a card in the other person's collection, or even choosing a card from any set we haven't already opened.
I hope you enjoy the content and keep watching for the weekly releases that happen every Sunday evening between 4:00pm - 7:00pm CST. There are currently 5 episodes up in the playlist I linked below. The sets we have done so far are Beta, Arabian Nights, Antiquities, Legends, and today's episode which was Revised. Hope you enjoy!
I just wanted to share a cool resource for anyone who loves cracking packs and prepping for drafts or sealed events. Check out MTG Packs! It's a site where you can simulate play, draft, set, and collectors boosters for most Magic: The Gathering sets—free to the public. It's a great way to get familiar with the cards and strategize before events.
For those interested in taking things further, there's also a membership option that gives access to some enhanced features, like draft and sealed views to help you better navigate your pool, access to the latest sets, and a financial calculator to help get more value for your dollar.
I've created an eternal sealed league which starts in the early days of magic and captures the fun of building a collection. You get new packs weekly, new sets release monthly and trades are legal. You start with 18 packs of Alpha and build your collection up over time creating decks for whatever formats exist at the time. We follow historical banned/restricted lists. You can win monthly prizes based on how you do in matches. As we get larger we are likely to add tournaments with prizes as well. I this appeals to you you can join the league here: https://discord.gg/wcCSkPTa
