From what I gather in this thread, the general opinion is that no matter how much evidence is shown to the contrary, these card shops do not tamper with the market value of cards for their own personal gain. Karametra just got spoiled and she has nothing to do with tokens, as you hinted at - pretty hard to take you seriously when you're just spouting BS about how you've already seen the card.
Personally I can't stand SCG and that it's scummy to buy out single stocks from other secondary market vendors and sell them at a marked up price. But, nothing here suggests tampering with the market or anything other than restocking. I could say plenty of negative things about SCG and how entities like them are why people turn to things like counterfeits, but that's a different topic and there's really nothing here other than sensationalism.
