I've got a lot of signatures contacting with the artists (via Facebook, or directly through their websites). Another system is attending to tournaments where the artists are signing. The majority of artists are not really so hard to find (but the hard ones are REALLY hard!).
It definitely can be. I'd like to get my Chronicles Blood Moons and 8th Ed. Ensnaring Bridges signed, but can't find much for Tom Wanerstrand and Ron Spencer's blog hasn't been active since early 2015.

I loved the Land Grants from few posts ago on the Belcher. There's three notably different D. Alexander Gregory sigs on them and one where he was allowed to pick his own pen.
When allowed, he loves to sign in pink felt tip pen. Almost all his earlier arts contain something pink or has pink shading and he loved to try to match the color in signatures.
This might have changed, since I had a nice long chat with him in 2004, but he was really fun guy to talk with.
Tom Wärnerstrand was signing few cards about five years back over mail, but after that I haven't heard that anybody had managed to catch him. There's luckily lot of his sigs floating around Finland and Sweden, as he attended few GP's here in 2000. I'll propably need to scan few of them here.
I'm working on a pimped out Commander deck. My Slivers are going to have all of the OG duals, expedition fetches/shocks/alternative lands, masterpiece artifacts, and I'm foiling as much as I can (including the full-art basics and the Slivers) and getting the rest altered. So far, I have a Taiga and Bayou, and expedition Breeding Pool and Stomping Ground, as well as some foil other stuff and one alter. I don't have any pics at the moment but I figured I'd share! It's a goal that's a long way away from completion, but, baby steps.

Hey there - have a question for everyone. Just looking to get thoughts/opinions/support. I'm in the process of purchasing a 9.5 graded City of Traitors test foil (the one with the black border and Magic back that's tournament legal). I got a good deal on it, and my intention is to eventually get a playset and actually use them. After all, I am a collector but a player at heart and I buy cards to use them. I'm getting a mixed reaction from some of my peers. Others agree with me in the sense that, "why buy if you aren't going to play with it?" However, some think I'm crazy to crack a card graded that high. From what I've seen, most of these test prints are in really good condition. Ultimately, I realize it's my decision but I just wanted to gauge community input.

If you're willing to take the risk of taking a 9.5 and playing with it and causing some minor damage, that would be my primary concern. I'm also a collector and would have to really think hard about playing with something that's worth more than a mint black lotus. Personally unless I was building a deck to just go ultra pimp to the max, I'd just buy regular ones to play with and keep ~$7k/ea cards encased in hard plastic.
My logic is this - even a minor dent would take a 9.5 and degrade it to a 9.0 or even 8.5. The value loss of that alone would be worth more than a regular playset.
As far as what I own, I would say the part of my collection I'm proudest of acquiring is my basic land binder. It's been a work-in-progress for a long time, and it's almost complete. At times I have prioritized this binder over cards I need to actually play the game.. It has:
Complete sets of Beta lands, Arabian Nights Mountain, Guru Set, Unglued Set, Foil Unhinged Set, foil Zendikar full-art set, foil Battle for Zendikar full-art set, foil Amonkhet & Hour of Devastation sets, original Arena set, Foil Ice Age Arena set, Rob Alexander Arena set, foil Beta Island and foil Beta Forest (for some reason the only ones they did foil), foil Urza's Saga set, and AIPAC and Euro sets.
I do not yet have the Judge foil set but that's basically all I am missing (I may have forgotten some things that I have in the binder). One of these days I will cave in and fork over the one-week's pay for the set. I'm not interested in most of the other Arena sets that contain foil lands that were already released in foil versions in the sets they came from (such as the Mercadian Masques ones). I'm not interested in Summer Magic because it's the same art as the Betas and they aren't pretty to look at.
Looks good!
Btw do you prioritise masterpieces over other cards?
And do you have a list for the deck?
Yes, I prioritized masterpieces, which is pretty much the only reason Mind Twist and Meekstone are on the list (although both can be 1-drops to trigger Paradox Engine). Full decklist is here.
Also: The three proxies in my images above have been de-proxified as of last Saturday.
