MTG Salvation

This was my end of the year pimp update. I've posted this on mtgthesource and reddit a few months ago but I seem to have forgotten to post it here. Between January and now I have a few more pieces but i'll save those for the next big update.

It's my elves deck. It's by far my favorite deck to play and I put my heart and soul into finishing it. I started playing Legacy around a decade ago and from the start, I knew I wanted to play Elves. It was fun and I was a high school student with little to no income. It was no where near tier 1 back then. Back then, it was an all-in combo deck with Summoner's Pact, Emrakul, and Grapeshot as the finishers.

Over the years, I slowly upgraded my deck. I took a break for a few years during college. When I came back, Elves became a whole new deck. With the new legend rule change which made Gaea's Cradle insane and the printing of Craterhoof Behemoth, Elves was finally good. I have a little more income now since graduating college and I upgraded from English nonfoil to English foil, and then now it's almost complete as Chinese foil.

So, here's the deck:


I plan to get almost every card altered eventually, so if anyone has any alter ideas, let me know!

When this deck is completely 100% chinese foil and altered, i'll probably work on simplify chinese foiling a vintage deck, career and/or future wife permitting

Kyle does good work. Very nice deck.

I am not really into foils, or cards with signatures on them, and I also prefer them in English.
But this is a deck that Ive been playing for 6 years already, and I am have a lot of pride playing it as well as a lot of love for it.

Finally finished the signed playsets for the two bottom right cards

Love the meekstone. Nice pick ups!

Spent some time at GP DC picking up some cool stuff, but definitely one thing really stands out:
Had bought a playset of these to get signed before Christopher Rush's unfortunate passing, turns out he only ever signed a handful of them. Bought it direct from his agent, so I know the money is going toward a good cause. He was the only Western artist to ever do the art for a Pokemon card so far (I believe). This is gonna stand out in my collection for a long time as a centerpiece, being a long time fan of both Christopher Rush and Pokemon.

Can I show tokens here? I have three angel tokens for my Enchantress, that I would like to share.

They're very difficult to hunt down. x_x

Some new shiny cards. 8 of each expedition, 4 of each KTK foil Russian fetchland and 4 foil Russian Jace, Vryn Prodigy.

Thanks Claymore, I had this alter done by Zealkat MTG Alters. Wedge from The Mana Source has videos of artists doing alters and Zealkat was one of those featured artists. I watched all of Wedges videos and felt that Zealkat was the best choice for me, her work is exquisite.

This is one of the most consistent pimped out decks I have ever seen.
No sloppy foil 'em all, but consistent foiling/language.

Just one question.. Is it possible to have a close-up of the alters? Some of them seem to be very high grade & extremely funny.

Hey guys. I stepped out for a while. Sold a lot of my collection, but mostly the less cool parts. Now I'm actively collecting again in preparation for my next book. There have been tons of unofficial tokens over the years. A few got very popular and collectible while others seem to have been forgotten.

Oh which JingHe did you get?

Currently struggling which angel token to use for my Enchantress deck. Both these tokens are so rare, and so little in circulation that it's very difficult to track or hunt down. I don't like to use both, and only want one the other one of the two, as it goes against the rule of pimping a deck haha.


The first angel token -
It's from a Chinese Magic: the Gathering company. It is a JingHe Age 10th Anniversary angel token (only comes in non-foil).

The second angel token -
It's from Star City Games Center, M15 pre release angel token (only comes in foil).

Both tokens are rare, and the circulation is extremely low so it's hard to find them.

I went ahead and got the whole set:
Also pictured are my Johannes Voss Sakura Angel tokens from GP Chiba(?). Limited run.

Between the JingHe and the super rare SCG Angel tokens, I'd go for the JingHe. It's more official, rather than just a fancy third party token.

I know this will definitely pale in comparison to most posts here, but here's something for the Modern fans. Thopter Foundry/Sword of the Meek cards...

I also had 60 playsets of Sword of the Meek, but sold a bunch to an online store, so I'm only posting the pics of around 10 play sets. I didn't bother to show my 4 sets of Ancestral Vision because I didn't really have time to go all-out in purchasing them. In fact, it was tougher to get them once they spiked to $11 each since I stopped buying them at $6-8 each.
